*I apologies for the long delay in the stories I have been writing, school has been taking up most of my time and I even moved cross country, but I am now back with another chapter for you guys and a new drive to write, remember if you find the Dog-Chewed dice or Wine-Stained cards in my other story you get to choose a fanfiction of your own choosing once I get an understanding of said character. Now without further or do let's get this story on the road.*

Waking up my side burns in agony as my surroundings at first to be pure white, letting out a raspy laughter "It seems I finally died, at least I was happy in the end"

"Oh my tainted flower you are very much alive" a familiar voice says almost in my ear as I look over I see white-haired man bent over almost to the point one wrong move I would end up touching him with my face his face forming a sneer as I first open my eyes.

"Y-You!" trying to get up my side flares up in agony and I lay back down. Closing my eyes I feel something cool touch my hand and then leaves, washing me in a daze, suddenly feeling empty.

"Hush now my pretty petal, you're still healing, and I'm the one who saved you" He says straightening back up with a kind smile.

"Really?" pausing for a few moments to try to collect my thoughts and try to recall what had just happened "Well, thank you" Gripping the sheets I start to cry, not knowing why.

"Do you remember me?" He says softly brushing a lock of my hair out of my face as he looks me in the eyes.

"I- No I am sorry, I don't remember anything" holding my head with one of my hands trying my best to even remember my own name.

"Well do you at least know your own name?" He says sitting on the edge of the bed softly as he strokes the side of my face.

"No, I don't," pausing for a moment "Do you?" I ask him, lost and very confused.

"Yes, Your name is Laila" his smile soft and caring, but it seemed to hide something sinister and corrupt.

"Laila, I see, what happened to me?" I say as I slowly pull myself up, grimacing in pain as the wound on my side begins to hurt even worse as I move.

"You were shot by an insane morgue keep, he wanted to make you a coffin to the point of insanity" He says through gritted teeth, clearly angry.

"What?-" Pulling the bed sheets closer to me.

"Not to fear Laila, I will protect as I've sworn to do so from the very beginning, I'm sorry I was late, will you forgive me?" his face to the point of tears and looks at me with agony showing in his eyes.

"Sworn?-" Looking down at my left hand I see a silver band around my ring finger then look at his left hand and see a matching silver band around his ring finger. "Are you my husband?" looking at him with a newfound emotion.

"Yes, you're my very beautiful wife" he chuckles "My name is Ash Landers, and yours is Laila Landers" he pats me on the cheek and kisses me softly. "Now get some rest my flower, I'll have dinner brought up here shortly."

He sits up and I look around the room, as I realize I am laying in a grand bed decorated in oak, gold, and other decor as the rest of the room was furnished almost the same marble, oak and gold scheme. The marble reminding me of what most say what Heaven would look like.

Resting my head against the headboard behind me I sigh, as I try to remember what happened but nothing comes to mind, then drifts off back to Ash, for some reason finding no immediate joy but suddenly my chest wells up as I think about my first actual dinner but I can't remember the man I ate it with.

Groaning I look up at the ceiling "Maybe I'm just going crazy"

Shortly after a meek maid comes in rolling in a silver cart with silver platters and dishes, setting up my dinner next to the bed for me as another maid comes in to help me to the edge of the bed and makes sure the wound is healing properly.

As the maid lifts up the platter for the food I am disappointed by what was inside of them, barely any food was inside of them and was mainly a selection of soups of different broths and very plain foods.

"Is this all I am going to eat today?" asking the maid who dished the platters for me.

"Yes Lady Laila, you were put on a simple diet for the wound came close to you organs and we do not want to take the chance of injury so you'll be eating simple foods for a couple of weeks" she says as she bows towards me "Even the most renowned doctors can only do so much my Lady"

"Oh, thank you so much-" sadden by the forced diet, I pause for her to say her name.

"My name is Anne, and my sister is Belle, we are twins" Both of them bow, their long silver hair almost the same except Anne had two long braided strands of hair framing her face while the other sister only had one.

"Well thank you Anne, Belle, I guess you can leave now." Looking at the soup and mentally crying at the thought of this diet for a couple of weeks.

"Of course My Lady Laila" they both say at the same time as the bow and leave the room.

As silence fills the room I eat, even though the soup warms my body, I still feel like a part of me was cold, not knowing why.

*Hope you all enjoyed! I am going to try to stick with a Bi-weekly update if I have the time, so look forward to the next chapter!*
