The road seemed to go on forever. Small burrs from spiky plants kept sticking to the travelers feet. The sun when it was up seemed to have its rays locked on the lone figure. Walking and jogging, the girl seemed to be trudging through along the path forever.
Six days. Was that how long she had been out here. A small stream if it could have been called that was a distant memory a whisper of a plea. The heat and the terrain did not help any when they sat down to rest. At night wild animals would try to attack, they would quickly run however when the branches of the bushes were tossed in their direction. A few trees had popped up. There branches brittle and no leaves cling to them. Small insects peaked out and lizards with bright coloured bodies scurried along the road. The red hair which had caused this entire problem in the first place was matted with grit and dust caked in, from the sweat and small amount of water that they had splashed on their face a while back. That's all she could think of was the cool and slightly metallic taste that the water had. She reached another tree this one seeming to be mourning whom ever came across it, it was bent and had a slight lean to it. The traveler sat beside it. Trying to get as much shade as possible. Sleep was all she wanted to do, however they knew if they did she might not get up. The sun had reached its pinocle in the sky, as the women laid to rest on the tree.

In the distance on the old road, a van could be seen. They had come down this road because they knew that someone escaped they heard the alarms The occupants of this van were very odd looking to say the least. There was a very burly dude with dark crimson hair, a sort of thin and weedy boy that had bright red hair that mirrored a poppy, and another person shrouded in shadows, a hat covered their face and they were wearing a large cape like attire. They passed the tree that the lone girl had fallen at. The person in the shadows said something to the occupants and they turned around to go back to the tree. The person got out and it seemed as if fire was dancing around them. They walked over to the person that had collided on the tree and picked them up, and walked back to the van. A slight breeze came about a rocked the tree, that had just been a sort of shelter. The tree groaned and a snapping sound was heard, slowly the trunk started to break and crash down in pieces, where the traveler had once been now only has large splinters. The van started back up and started its long journey back into land that had people and things in it. The women and the stranger in the back with cool compresses were placed around the body to help with the heat. It would take almost two days before evidence of people would appear and another two before they would reach a place to stop and finally leave the van.
