𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 2: 𝚃𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝙸𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚐𝚊𝚕

Mew's POV:

We arrived at Professor Magnolia's laboratory. He had showed his Pokédex to her and told her that he was "Kesh Atchum". Ehe, what a comical name. Well, he had to choose either Scorbunny, Sobble or Grookey. It was quite hard to choose as they all have similar potential and looked absolutely adorable. Professor Magnolia patiently waited for him to make his choice.

I did not want Ash to drag it out as he was being forced to make a nearly impossible decision. He never had to make such a decision before since he was late the last time and could only get Pikachu. I whispered to Hoopa, telling him to cause a distraction. Hoopa grinned and I got ready, knowing that chaos was about to ensue.

Ash's POV:

Each of the three stared at me with huge, adorable eyes. Wait, why was I thinking that way? Perhaps it was my ten-year-old instincts acting up. Ugh, I should be thinking about how strong they are, the possible elemental combinations I could make with other common Galar Pokémon and-

BANG!

I swiveled around to see smoke coming from the neighbouring room. Professor Magnolia rushed off to see what was happening.

"Alé Hoopa ring!" I heard. What was Hoopa doing? I ran after Professor Magnolia and opened the door. My jaw dropped. The five Regis were shooting randomly and destroying Professor Magnolia's special research! Eyes widening, Professor Magnolia attempted to calm them down. I shot a glare at Hoopa, who was giggling happily. Clearly, Hoopa was the one who summoned them and possibly the one who made them angry.

Just then, I remembered that I could talk to Pokémon. I knew Mew said not to make it too obvious since it might raise a few eyebrows but it was a dire situation.

"Stop! Why're you doing this?" I demanded, using an aura sword to stop Registeel from exiting the room.

"You'll understand later. Hehehe... don't worry. We'll helping you," Registeel smiled. Well he didn't have a mouth so I think he smiled.

"HELPING?! Causing destruction is HELPING? Are you hypnotised or what?" I screamed and used another aura sword to stop Regice. Regieleki flew over my head, causing me to snarl.

"You there! Come back!" I yelled at Regieleki. Raising an aura sword manacingly, I chased after him. But how could I match the speed of Regieleki? Professor Magnolia was intrigued by Regieleki and Regidrago so she started typing furiously on her computer. I guessed that was for research and hoped fervently that they wouldn't blow that up too.

A while later, I gave up chasing Regieleki. I went back into the main room to see the three Galar starters all gone! Vanished! Panicking, I looked around the room for them. Just then, I felt a tap on my shoulder and I was teleported away.

Mew's POV:

Success! I brought all three starters of Galar to the Tree of Beginning, where we would be able to rest. Ash looked around in confusion. Giggling, I recalled what had happened. Hoopa had decided that bringing the Regis there was a good idea and caused the chaos I needed. While everyone was distracted, I teleported the Galar starters to the Tree of Beginning.

"Mew! Wait, Grookey, Sobble and Scorbunny?" Ash's gaze drifted to the three adorable starters.

"Yup! Now you have all three! Congrats Ash! I mean, Kesh!" I exclaimed happily.

Ash's jaw dropped. "That's illegal, Mew. It's technically stealing from the professor."

"Nah, I wouldn't commit a crime. I asked Arceus to send someone to give her information she doesn't know as payment. Y'know professors, they love research. She'd trade three starters for some spicy secrets about Arceus any day," I reasoned.

"Hi Ash!" the Scorbunny greeted with a grin. Ash couldn't help but smile at him. After bidding the ten-year-old farewell and promising that we would meet again, Hoopa and I teleported Ash back to Galar, and watched him walk off into the sunset.

Ash's POV:

Cool! Although I was annoyed at Mew, it was still awesome that I got to receive all three of the Galar starters. I decided to train them for a bit and then challenge the first gym. I checked the Pokédex to see what gyms were there in Galar. There were:

The Tuffield Gym - Grass Type
Gym Leader - Milo

The Hulbury Gym - Water Type
Gym Leader - Nessa

The Motostoke Gym - Fire Type
Gym Leader - Kabu

The Stow-on-Side Gym - Fighting Type
Gym Leader - Bea

The Ballonlea Gym - Fairy Type
Gym Leaders - Opal and Bede

The Circhester Gym - Rock Type
Gym Leader - Gordie

The Spikemuth Gym - Dark Type
Gym Leaders - Piers and Marnie

The Hammerlocke Gym - Dragon Type
Gym Leader - Raihan

"So I'll have to head to the Turffield Gym," I muttered to myself. I have seen Bea and Raihan in battle before, so I knew their standards. But a Grass Type gym shouldn't be too hard since I have Scorbunny with me. I missed Pikachu but I knew he was probably watching me from the Hall of Origin, silently cheering me on. And so, my team and I headed to the Turffield Gym!
