~Kathy's P.O.V.~
I woke up in the afternoon here. I'll have to get used to the time zone, you know since it is five hours ahead of Canada. The only reason I woke up was that my phone was vibrating like crazy on my desk. I got off my bed and checked my phone. I was getting a call from James. I went to pick it up. But when I was about to press accept call, my phone stopped ringing and said it had a missed call. I tried to call him back, but he didn't answer. I decided to text him, since I was still kind of half asleep. I noticed he had texted me yesterday.

I sent the message, then quickly got dressed. I put on ripped jeans and a white flowy top tank top (check external link for a photo). When I was done getting dressed I brushed my hair then did my make up. I went down stairs and say my mom in the living room reading a magazine.
"Hey mom, I'm going out to see James. Do you know where Monmouth Coffee shop is?" I asked.
"Ya it's only two blocks away, it's the coffee shop you went to yesterday." my mom told me.
I pulled on my black converse, "Okay, see you later!" I called while going out the door.
I slowly walked to the coffee shop, I couldn't believe I was see James again after all these years. A smile grew on my face. I arrived at the coffee shop I order a coffee and waited. That's when I realized that I didn't know what James looked like now, so I just looked around the coffee shop looking for someone that looked kind of familiar. I didn't find any one.
But being the strange person I am I yelled, "James!" then looked around trying to see if anyone had responded There was one very good looking guy with brown hair that had looked up from his phone and was looking around. That was James, hopefully. I walked over to him.
"Hey is this seat taken?" I asked.
He looked confused, he didn't recognize me.
~James's P.O.V.~
"Hey is this seat taken?" A girl asked. She was absolutely gorgeous, but I didn't know who she was. Why was she talking to me out of all these people? I was confused.
"Uh no, but my friend is coming to meet me so." I said.
"Oh really? Who is this friend?" The girl smiled and her green eyes sparkled.
"One of my good friend I haven't seen in years." I told her looking around for Kathy.
"Can I sit here until she comes?" she asked, this girl wasn't going to give up so I gave in.
"Sure." I said, she sat down.
"So what's your name?" the girl questioned.
"James." I told her and she smiled revealing her dimples. Kathy had dimples. "What's your name?"
"Kathy." her smile grew wider.
"That's a nice name." I said not realizing what she said. Then it hit me, that was Kathy.
"Kathy?" I asked and she nodded. Wow she's changed a lot.
"It's so nice to see you again." She said.
"I know, you've changed a lot. I didn't recognize you." I smiled.
"I didn't recognize you either until I yelled your name and you looked up." she laughed.
"That was you?" I laughed with her.
"Yeah, you looked so confused when I came up to you. What were you thinking?" she asked.
"I was like who is this girl? Why is she talking to me?" I said leaving out the part about me thinking that she is absolutely gorgeous.
Kathy laughed more, "I can't believe this, after eight years we are finally hanging out again."
"I know, it's been so long." I took a sip from my coffee. "I've missed hanging out with you."
"Same, we need to catch up." she said and I nodded, "So what have you been doing for these past eight years?"
"Um I have been going to school, eating, sleeping, and living. And what about you?" I asked.
"Mostly the exact same, but in Canada." she now took a sip of her coffee. "So I have to ask, have you had a girlfriend yet?"
"Yeah I've had a few, but I'm single now." I told her, "What about you any boyfriends?"
"I've had quiet a few, but I'm single now too." she explained.
We continued to chat until the store closed. Within this time we laughed so much, more than I have since I left Canada. By the end of the day we talked so much that it was like I had never left. When it was 11 p.m. we said goodnight and we our seperate ways. But we said that we would hang out tomorrow. When I got home I went to my room and laid down, thinking about the day. I got to see my best friend again. My best friend has changed into a complete beauty. How could have this hapened? I have no idea. I just can't wait to see her again. She lights up my world like nobody else. And she makes me laugh no matter how I'm feeling. I continued to think about the day until I fell asleep. It had been such a great day.
