Chapter 1 - a different type of pack
Carefully I sneaked into Alissa's room, she was snoring quietly and I held back a laugh my slapping my hand over my mouth.
I jumped up on her bed and started jumping up and down "OHH ALI!!! WAKE UP!!!" I sang/ screamed as I jumped up and down on the bed.
She shot up and growled, shoving me off the bed. Instinctively I flapped my arms, it didn't do anything though I just fell on my butt on the cool wodden floor.
My dark curls flopped over my eyes, I laughed sitting on the floor. "Get out of my room" Alissa grumbled as I stood up, she got up and shoved me out of her room.
As I turned around she slammed the door shut in my face, I snorted "Feelin' the love!!" I yelled at the door, then I walked down the stairs and grinned.
Jarryd was already awake, his hair was a mess but he was already dressed in a white t-shirt, a black leather jacket and black skinny jeans and black and red Jordans. He was eating breakfast his eyes staring down at the table, completely silent.
Lilly was awake as well, she was wearing white skinny jeans, and a blue blouse with a bunch of bracelets on her wrists, she was wearing sandals and her long golden brown hair draped over her shoulder covering the side of her face as she read a book.
Zach was also awake, he had headphones on as he bobbed his head to whatever he was listening to, he was wearing a black hoodie sweater, black skinny jeans and Jordans, he and Jarryd dressed some what similar.
I looked around, Jonathan, Alissa, Morgan and Linzie were missing.
I smiled and poked Emily who was sitting next to Lilly on her phone, she smacked my hand away and growled at me without looking at me. She was wearing an oversized sweater, black leggings and combat boots, her hair was in a messy poney tail with strands of her blond hair hanging down.
Once Alissa finally came down the stairs I smiled, she was wearing a sweater, yoga pants and ugg boots, she had her hair curled and down. I smiled and hugged her tightly, she looked around "Where's Jonathan?" She asked.
"I'm here!" He said as he walked over to us, his dark hair brushed over his eyes, he was wearing black skinny jeans, a grey t-shirt and grey vans, as he passed he gently tugged on Lilly's long hair.
Lilly lifted her head up, and smiled at him, he walked over to Jarryd and kissed his temple making him instantly grin and wrap his strong toned arm around Jonathan's small waist.
Soon Linzie walked in and threw a book at me hiting me in the face, she snickered and walked past me, pushing me out of the way as she did. I snorted and rolled my eyes at her "What crawled up your-" I started but Morgan cut me off by walking in screaming "LALALALALALALALLA" she skipped over to Zach making a bright smile spread on his sleepy face, his eyes suddenly became from droopy and tired to happy and excited.
"We have to go guys" I said checking my watch. Everybody except Zach stood up since he could not hear. Lilly held his hand and pulled him out of his chair, he let her drag him out the door.
I smiled, holding Alissa's hand as we all walked outside and to our cars.
\After school/
"Finally free!" I yelled as we all walked through out the woods. "I know right" Jarryd said from behind us, he was giving Jonathan a piggy back ride as Jonathan whispered things in his ear making his face become bright red.
Lilly was silently walking beside Zach as usual, she usually stayed by our brother Zach or myself to make her feel safe and Emily was skipping behind them, picking up leaves and carefully setting them in Zach's hair without him noticing.
Morgan had her fingers inlaced with Zach's and Linzie was walking near Lilly but not too close keeping her distance but watching her as she usually did getting all protective.
Alissa was walking next to me "Let's shift!" Jonathan suddenly yelled "LAST ONE TO THE CAVE IS DOING THE DISHES" Alissa screamed quickly shifting into her wolf form. Jonathan hopped off Jarryd's back and shifted into his cheetah form, sprinting into a run easily out running us all.
Everyone shifted, Jarryd was way in the back, roaring in annoyance, he was a grizzly bear so he was one of the strongest but he was slow, I was an eagle, I wasn't the fastest but I was pretty fast as I flew past everybody.
Lilly was a red fox, she was fast and easily ran side by side with Alissa. Zach was a strong lion, the strongest in the group, he was right behind Alissa. Linzie was a black pegasus, galloping ahead of us. Morgan was a lioness speeding past Zach with a loud teasing roar. And Emily was a white tiger running past Alissa.
I reached Jonathan who already made it to the cave, he watched as I landed inside the cave, resting on a rock.
Linzie ran inside closing up her wings and mentally smirked, Alissa sped inside the cave and stopped panting softly, Lilly quickly ran inside a couple seconds after Alissa did and Zach ran in at her heals with Morgan right behind him. Emily lazily dragged her paws inside and slumped down on the cave floor, I looked out of the cave for Jarryd but he didn't show up.
Jonathan paced outside the cave until Jarryd lazily dragged his huge heavy paws inside with Jonathan following closely behind.
Lilly, Zach, Linzie and Alissa shifted back into their human forms while Jarryd, Jonathan, Morgan, Emily and I stayed in our animal forms.
Jonathan tackled Jarryd down and they both playfully growled at each other. I just watched silently.
This was our little family, all we really had was each other and who ever tried to separate us would find out what we can really do.
