Chapter 26

Strongarm sits up and looks over in the direction Steeljaw had gone, she wonders for a moment why he started acting that way but she soon comes to the conclusion that it's just because he doesn't like the fact that they will be separated soon. She can't help but feel sympathy for him since she knows what it feels like to be in love with a bot that doesn't return the affection. She was deeply in love with her ex and she thought he loved her too, she thought they were gonna sparkbond one day and have sparklings, that is until she found him with another femme.

She realized that he never loved her as she thought, he was just into her body, all he wanted was a good frag and he probably would have dumped her afterward if she had given him what he wanted. She loved him but he didn't love her and that pained her so much. It took her quite a while to get over him but the academy really helped her get him off her processor as she focused on her future. Now she's in the same situation but on the opposite side, Steeljaw loves her but she doesn't love him.

She understands his pain but she can't see herself ever loving a Decepticon. But knowing his history and what has led him to be the way he is now, she wants to help him, she wants to help him get onto the right path. She will give him a chance to prove himself and try to win her spark, but she will also try to help him see that he can get on the right path, the path his carrier wants him to be on.

Strongarm.

Speaking of carriers... Hey, Mom. What's up?

Also, I thought you should know that Sideswipe will be fine. Knock Out and Ratchet did surgery on him to repair the inner damage that was done and it was uncertain for a bit if he was gonna make it, but he just woke up not long ago.

Thank primus. I was hoping he would be alright. I watched as Steeljaw ripped him apart, I couldn't do anything to stop him. I felt so bad and I've been wondering if he made it or not.

I'm sorry you had to witness it, sweetie. How has he been treating you?

Other than holding me captive and forcefully marking me, he hasn't been treating me too badly. He loves me and he wants me to love him back, but he's been going about it all wrong.

Well, when we get you two back here he's getting a serious beating. We're all just itching to beat his aft for what he's done, Wheeljack and Bulkhead especially.

Strongarm couldn't keep from laughing, those two are always itching for a fight. It doesn't surprise her that they're anxious to beat up Steeljaw, especially her father, he's very protective of her.

I have to go, Ratchet needs my assistance. We'll talk more later when we get you back here.

It took some time and usage of a lot of the equipment around them but they finally got the Ground Bridge fixed and ready to go. "Alright! Let's get up the previous coordinates that Strongarm used and get this thing started up!" Wheeljack says with enthusiasm.

"Already getting up the coordinates," Ratchet says as he presses some buttons. It didn't take long for the familiar portal to open up in front of them, the two just needed to come through.

Strongarm had just finished putting on her armor and checking herself over to make sure everything was correctly in place when she heard the Ground Bridge open up. She looks to see it in the same spot it opened up when they first went through to come onto the island. She starts running towards it as she shouts out for Steeljaw.

"Steeljaw!! Steeljaw the Ground -!" She cuts herself off when she sees Steeljaw running towards her. She comes to a halt near the Ground Bridge as she watches him, he looks like a mech that's been fighting to control himself. 

His face and optics show many emotions that are running through him, the main thing she sees is a look of possessiveness like he wants to hold her back and keep her on the island with him. There's also a mix of anger and sadness, he doesn't want to let her go but he knows he has to if he wants to properly win her spark. At the same time, he also feels anxious to get back to his team and continue with his plans.

When he reaches her he grabs her arm and looks intensely into her optics, "Before we go through that Ground Bridge I need to make sure. Do you still have the ointment I gave you?"

"Yes, it's in my subspace," she says before she reaches into her subspace to pull it out and show it to him.

"Good. Make sure you use it as soon as we're parted. And don't forget our deal, make sure you keep up your end."

Before Strongarm can respond, Steeljaw runs through the portal. She looks down at the vial the ointment stuff is in before she clenches her servo around it and runs through the portal. When she makes it to the other side she sees Steeljaw making his way around the 'Bots and out the door, Smokescreen, Bulkhead, and Wheeljack chase after him while Arcee stays behind to greet Strongarm.

Arcee smiles as she pulls Strongarm into a tight hug, "I'm so glad to see you, Strongarm."

Strongarm happily returned her hug, "I'm glad to see you too, Mom."

As much as Strongarm wanted to stand there and hug her mom she needed to make sure the other three didn't kill Steeljaw, he is her mate after all. She pulls from the hug and runs out of the room to follow the others down the hall, she catches up to them to find Steeljaw standing with the other Decepticons as they stand face to face with Wheeljack, Bulkhead, and Smokescreen.

"A'ight Wolf-scum, it's time for you to pay for what you've done to my daughter and Sideswipe," Wheeljack says as he pulls his swords out. Bulkhead and Smokescreen pounded their fists into their servos, clearly ready for a fight.

"Not like you can kill me, Autobot, or do anything serious. As long as your daughter has my bite mark you can't hurt me without hurting her," Steeljaw says with a devious smirk.

"Let them go!"

They all look to where the voice came from to see Strongarm walking towards them, "There's been too much going on, we all need to rest. You can fight them another time, for now, let's just go."

Wheeljack studies her for a moment before venting out a sigh, he's never backed down from a fight before in his life but for Strongarm's sake, he will this one time. They need to get her back to the scrapyard so she can be checked over and get some rest. "Fine, let's get you back to the scrapyard so you can get checked over," he says as he puts his swords away.

Strongarm's optics meet with Steeljaw's for a brief moment before he leaves with the other Decepticons and she's pulled into a big hug by her father. Even though it was brief she knew what the silent message was that he was trying to convey to her through that look...
