hello, i have been informed that sapnap doesn't like his real name being used, and i apologize for using it in the past, i didn't know he disliked it. i revised my entire story and removed traces of all real names (not just sapnap but also dream, eret, quackity, etc). i decided to cut them all out instead of just sapnap's because i don't want to run into this problem again in the future if any of them ever express being uncomfortable with their real names being in stories.

i used them only because i felt it would be more realistic to have "normal" names in a high school au. it might seem a little weird to my brain at first to write someone named "sapnap halo" in a realistic au but in the end it doesn't really matter because this is fiction. i will just have to get used to it and ultimately that is 1000% better than crossing anyone's boundaries.

i went back and deleted all comments that mentioned real names as well because i wish for it not to be remembered and i want to move on from it. in the future if i see any real names mentioned i will also delete them. with this new knowledge i'm extremely uncomfortable from seeing it because i feel guilty that i encouraged it, even though i didn't know.

again i'm really sorry that i made this mistake, i should've done my research more before i started writing this. i hope you all understand and we can move forward.

p.s. PLEASE inform me if i missed any names in the previous chapters. i've read them so many times over but i definitely could've missed some spots and i can't focus on it perfectly no matter how many times i do it. i always skim. i feel like there may be mistakes in there but i swear i can't catch any. if you find anything please just comment under it; i check all my comments so i won't miss it.

also i am in the works of making two other fanfics; one is currently published, it's called hurt and it's a dreamnotnap fic (for readers ~15+ please, it's going to have quite some violence in it). the other one is gonna be dreamnotfound/sapnotfound and it'll be uploaded as soon as i finish the prologue. i would name drop the title but it's so cool that i feel like i should save it for when it's available. this fic is still going to be the one i post most regularly, but sometimes i need to get out of my box yknow

Surprisingly, things ended up going back to normal. Winter break started, and Karl was home with his mom for all of it.

Christmas was great. He actually ended up getting a new laptop that he wanted. He had quickly scurried to his room after all the presents had been opened up to plug it in and immediately start to set it up. His mother peeked into his room and curiously looked at his screen, but eventually left since all he was doing was waiting for games to download.

Karl sat back in his chair and went to text Sapnap.

He could've gathered the rest of his things on the desk if he wanted to, but all that really excited him right now was the fact that he had this brand new computer sitting on it. He showed the progress that it was on downloading Minecraft, their favorite game to play. And now he was going to be better than ever with this new setup, and he wouldn't be the one left behind lagging anymore.

It took a while, but eventually Sapnap responded, while Karl was just starting up Minecraft to check it out.
