"DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE IM HYSTERICAL!"
"DONT TALK TO ME LIKE IM A CHILD!"
"You have no idea what you're doing. The path you're taking now, you can never come back from. You promised you'd never leave me alone, Y/N. You swore."
"That was before you lied."

Y/N hastily packed her things. After years of ridicule in her home, there was finally one place that recognized her for who she was, who she wanted to be. She was more driven then a lion the prowl.
M/N started up the stairs, calling out, "You can't really be doing this, Y/N!" She turned, facing her mother. Her skin was red from the previous screaming match, the outline of tears on her cheeks sent a shock through Y/N's chest. She hated seeing her mother in this manner, and she sighed heavily.
"Just please, look at me." The mother placed her wrinkled palm against her daughter's flushed cheek, in any attempt to make herself look better. "You already knew how I felt about it. How could accept that invitation? Especially under my nose."
The daughter paused, instead of responding, she started replaying the words her mother had said in her head to her throughout her life, part of what lead her to where she is.
"You need to stop putting your time towards sorcery, can you focus on what actually matters?"
"You aren't good enough to become successful. Just accept the truth. It's easier than lying to yourself."
"Why couldn't have you been normal like your sisters?"
Over and over they replayed. Years of torment alone with her in this god forsaken home, she'd had enough.
"Mom, just stop." She placed her hand on her mother's to lower it. "Like you said, it's easier to just accept the truth, easier than lying, right?"
This infuriated her. Y/N headed towards to door of her room. Before she reached it, her mother grabbed her wrist. "Remember you won't be shit out there. Your father's name and broken promises can't shield you any longer."
Y/N tugged her arm away from her mom. She took a moment to rub her wrist. Turning, she carried her purse, backpack, and suitcase down the stairs as fast as she could. She tuned out her mother cursing her, attempting to get a reaction.
She had already promised herself she was going to keep moving forward, and never turn back. Not for anyone or anything. Move until you can't any longer.
She recalled the last thing her father said to her as she faced the front door. She could hear her mom walking down the steps behind her, but suddenly any worries she had alleviated from her body. She took a moment to examine the doorknob.
She touched the cold knob and heard her fathers faint voice in her ear.
