"Have a nice day, aizawa-sensei and midnight-sensei." Kaminari said, bowing down and smile awkwardly.
He shut the door and look behind him. His both foster parents are standing there with a questioning look. Well he's not ready for this, that's for sure.
"I thought you promise you'll do better?" his mother spoke up, in english.
"I did, yeah." he said, nervously.
"Then? Why didn't you?"
"You know how my ADHD works, it's either I'm extremely focus or can't focus at all. Not to mention I have a bad memories at remembering things." he explained. It's true, even after taking his pills it wouldn't just work like that.
"We bought the pills for it already, am I right? We help you with a lot of things. The least you can do to pay us back is doing well on your exams." she clarified, with a blank expression.
"But it's not my fault."
"I do not care if it's your fault or anyone's. Do better. We helped you out. We took you in. You love us right? You want to pay for what we did for you? You don't want us to be upset, do you? C'mon, if you do better next time, we will be proud and not disappoint. You don't want us to be disappointed with you more now, do you?" she flatly said.
"No." he muttered, looking up.
His mother look at him with a tight expression, and sighing before walking out. He looked over his father who is smiling sadly before walking towards him and gently put his hands on his head.
"You know we love you right? We just don't want you to be like those who doesn't do great at school and ended up being homeless. You wanted to be a hero, so you need to put out a little more effort. If you fail your exam, you might be expelled. If you get expelled how can you become a hero? Promise me you'll do better." he said, tapping his head lightly.
"I will."
"Great, now change to more appropriate clothes. We are going out."
"Huh? Where?" Kaminari asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"We are having lunch outside today."
-----
By 'having lunch outside', they actually meant a gathering of all those wealthy people. He should have known this, it happens a lot of times. They tricked him into believing they actually will be having a family time. But who is he to object or complain? No one.
He should let the dream of having a family time sinks a long time ago. He would never got those things. Yeah of course he considers his friends is his family, but they are not the same as the one he grew up with.
He gasp when he sees the house that he will enter in a few minutes. It's the Yaoyorozu's. He started to fidgeting. You could see his face going pale.
The car's door open and he slowly let himself out. He let himself drifting off behind of them.
You may ask, how the hell do the Yaoyorozu's make an event today? Weren't the teachers supposed to go there and ask for permission for the dorms? Well, they plan this event for a whole month and could not just cancel it for a simple things so they set up a meeting to meet the teacher the day before.
He took a deep breath before entering the mansion and stick besides his father. Knowing that his mother would go around and would introduce him to a lot of people.
Unfortunately, luck was not in his side. His mother, took his right hand and dragged him to the nearest people that are talking to each other.
"Hello Ayaka."
