Chapter 2: partners

It was the morning now, the 1st of June and it was scolding hot, to hot for a human to touch a train's body like yours. You could feel it and everyone else could as well. All the humans decided to go easy on today due to the heat, they wouldn't want any of their trains passing out or parts of them melting due to the heat. You felt bad for the trains that transport people. They never get a day off unless they malfunction and honestly that's such a sad life, you yourself was a worker train so days off were rare but given, especially on days like this.
You were told you have to work in teams of two and you only had to do a little work and you had to evenly split it between the both of you and you will haves supervisor there to help as well "well this won't be so hard I suppose" the intercom started up again 'CAN ALL TRAINS GO TO THE STATION I REPEAT CAN ALL TRAINS GO TO THE STATION" you heard that and started to chuga chuga back 'I wonder who I'll be paired up with? Charles is good for stuff like this but pat is a very hard worker and will persevere through anything' you begin to think more 'I wonder who will supervise us, repair man Rantaro is laid back and probably won't make us do heavy work but co conductor Gonta is sweet and gives us words of guidance but conductor Korekiyo, he's- well- I don't think I could concentrate with him being my supervisor, hehe-' you chuga chuga back to the station, seeing all the trains there, and you can hear a faint noise of names being called out " will with shuichi aaaaand thats it!" The person calling it out said in a loud voice the trains drove off while you were there staring "uhh sir, who am I with" "oh shit y/n, uhhhh so, uhhh you go with" he stammered, looking around in a painful attempt to find someone until he spotted the exact person "you're with Korekiyo yes yes" "KIYO" he shouted getting the tall mans attention as he gracefully walked over "hmmm, what ever do you need me for" "this train here doesn't have a partner to work with, could you assist them please" the guy said in a pleasing voice "why of course, come with me now y/n" he said as he turned his back and started to walk by the tracks.
