Third Person's POV
"Hello everybody, welcome back after the intermission. We're watching the first battle of the Coronation Series Final Tournament, the Play-off stage and this match has a surprising outcome so far, because one of the Unova trainers, Cameron, who advanced to the play-offs from the second place in the Group B, is currently winning against the Alolan Champion Ash Ketchum. The score's 3:2 at this point." The commentator welcomed back the TV audience.
"I must say, I didn't expect this at all, I thought that it will be easy cruise for the Alolan Champion, but now I think we could see one of the biggest surprises of this tournament. Cameron has four Pokemon left, while Ash has three and two of them already were on the battlefield." Second voice sounded from the TV.
"Yeah, but don't forget that Ash's Pokemon are no pushovers and I think they've been through much worse, or at least two of them. Let's remind that Ash has Pikachu, Infernape and Riolu left while Pikachu and Riolu already were on the battlefield, and Cameron has Samurott, Ferrothorn, Hydreigon and Lucario left, while only Hydreigon was already on the battlefield." First commentator reminded.
Seconds after, both participants at the same time chose their Pokemon for the next round.
"Oh, a really unlucky pick for Cameron! They both went with Pokemon who didn't battled yet, and now Cameron's Ferrothorn, who's weak against Fighting and mainly against Fire types, will face Ash's Infernape, a Fire/Fighting type! Really lucky moment for the Alolan Champion!" The commentator screamed.
"Well, sometimes you have to be lucky to be good and good to be lucky!" The second one said.
"Infernape, quick, use Mach Punch!" Ash commanded, but before Flame Pokemon could reach his opponent, Cameron called thunderbolt and Ash had to react with Dig, so Infernape, instead of dealing damage, went under the ground.
"Ferrothorn, as soon as Infernape shows up, use Mirror Shot!" Cameron commanded his Thorn Pod Pokemon.
But Ash, nor Infernape didn't wanted to come from the underground, and hearing Cameron's words, Ash called for Flare Blitz, but under the battlefield!
Infernape obeyed and the whole ground started seriously heating up, doing some damage to Ferrothorn, before blowing up completely, a bit like a volcano and a double super-effective damage did its job. Ash then only called Flamethrower and that was the end for the Grass/Steel type.
"Ferrothorn is unable to battle! This round goes to Ash and Infernape!" The referee announced.
"It's level again, folks! Marvelous tactics by the Alolan Champion, beautifully performed by his Infernape, makes it 3:3!" The commentator enthusiastically yelled.
"Let's face the truth, Ferrothorn never stood a chance against a Pokemon with, technically, triple advantage." The second commentator remarked.
Cameron chose Samurott as his next Pokemon and Ash logically called Infernape back, switching him for Pikachu.
Nobody at the stance didn't even breath and both of the commentators were really busy commentating all the action at the battlefield.
"A play-off worthy battle!!!" One of them screamed as Samurott was able to endure yet another Thunderbolt from Pikachu and even fight back.
The battle included several skillfully dodged Aqua Jets, Electroweb sliced by Razor Shell, endured Thunderbolts, fencing with Iron Tail against Razor Shell, and many more moments of brilliance, from both trainers. One for the highlight reel was Pikachu's usage of several Electrowebs, placed around the battlefield. Especially that moment when Pikachu, bouncing from one Electroweb, went under Samurott, using Iron Tail inflict some damage, and then bouncing up by second Electroweb, before using Thunderbolt.
