Marinette knew she was about to be pushed off the edge. She knew that soon Hawkmoth would take over and akumatize her.

That was the reason she chose to do what she did. Give Chloe the Ladybug Miraculous temporarily. Marinette hadnt forgotten that Chloe was the only one who had stood up for her that time with Lilas necklace.

Chloe had been so surprised and confused when Marinette told her everything.
"I need to make sure i wont accidentally give it to Hawkmoth Chloe. If i get akumatized you need to be Ladybug. You need to help Chat." Chloe had agreed to giving it back when Marinette was better but for now she wore the earrings and prepared for whatever was going to happen.

Nothing happened for the next few days and Chloe was starting to wonder when Marinette would want it back.

That same day it went wrong. "I cant hide it anymore! Guys i need to tell you something." Lila blurted out. "Im ladybug!" She said.

"What? OMG Lila! Can i interview you?" Alya exclaimed very excited.
"What?!" Some said.
Adrien just stared at her.
Then Marinette let out a mocking sound.

"Are you seriously stupid enough to fall for that?" She scoffed at her "friends".

"Excuse me?" Alya said. She didnt like being called stupid.

"Lets lay out the evidence 'future reporter'. 1. Ladybug was here way before Lila showed up. 2. She looks nothing like her. 3. She has been akumatized. 4. Shes not even wearing earrings!" Marinette spread her and waited for them to realize their stupidity.

"Why are you always ruining everything just because you're jealous of me?" Lila said at the verge of tears. "I really don't understand what i did wrong!" She said and some tears escaped the corners of her eyes. Marinette scoffed again and got up. She started walking towards them all.

"You dont know what you did wrong? WELL LET ME TELL YOU!" She screamed in Lilas face as she approached them. "Besides trying to ruin my life youre a horrible, disgusting, filthy, lying little bitch!" She said with pressure on every single word.

"Marinette i know you dont like that Adrien likes her but this is a little extreme." Alya said out loud before thinking. Adriens eyes widened. Marinette turned to her.

"Why are you so determined to invalidate me?! Every feeling, every thing i do doesn't have to do with Adrien! Yes i had a huge crush on him okay but that doesn't mean my world only revolves around him!" Marinette shouted.

"Well it seems like it because he is the only thing you ever talk to me about!" Alya yelled back also standing now.

"Why do you think that is? TELL ME! Its because i cant tell you about anything else in my life!" She yelled. "DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS THAT THE PERSON WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE YOUR BEST FRIEND IS SO HARD TO TRUST?!" She screamed not hiding anything from them.

"And before you ask why let me tell you. Because everyone here think that the selfish little girl who moved here a few months ago is more believable than me! I have always been there for you! Im there to comfort you, to help you and do everything i can! But i have had the worst weeks of my life lately and no one! NO ONE! Not a single person. None of you have noticed. No 'how are you?' or anything. No one noticed when i was late last monday with my eyes red after tears! No one noticed how ive been shaking every time we have to do a test or i get asked a question. No one cares. Not anymore! I needed you guys. Just a single person. You remember that time in the locker where Lilas pendant was in my locker? Everyone suddenly believed Lila! I have done nothing to prove myself untrustworthy but here we are! Some friends you are." Marinette switched between yelling and talking normally to them.

"Im leaving. I dont want people like you in my life. You disgust me. All of you. I am not your friend anymore and you are not mine." Her voice wasnt trembling. She didnt stutter.

"And dont worry" she wasnt sure they did "about me being lonely. I still have Chloe and two others." With that she walked out and Chloe followed her.

"That felt soo good to get off my chest!" Marinette sighed in relief with tears in her eyes but a smile on her lips.

"I think its time you get these back." Chloe said and took off the earrings.

"Thank you very much." Marinette said and laughed at her friend. "No thank you for not locking me out like everyone else." Chloe said and hand in hand they skipped the rest of the school day.
