16- Cause I'm with you till the end of the line

Barry P.O.V.

"Disabling the encryption is an executive order, it takes two Alpha Level members." Pierce said. 

"Don't worry, company's coming." I said. Just then, a helicopter appeared outside, landed and mom and Fury walked out. "Did you get my flowers?" Pierce asked Fury. "I'm glad you're here, Nick."

"Really? Cause I thought you had me killed." Fury said. 

"You know how the game works."

"So why make me head of SHIELD?"

" Cause you were the best and the most ruthless person I ever met."

"I did what I did to protect people."

"Our enemies are your enemies, Nick. Disorder, war. It's just a matter of time before a dirty bomb goes off in Moscow, or an EMP fries Chicago. Diplomacy? Holding action, a band-aid. And you know where I learned that; Bogota. You didn't ask, you just did what had to be done. I can bring order to the lives of seven billion people by sacrificing twenty million. It's the next step, Nick, if you have the courage to take it."

"No, I have the courage not to." Fury took Pierce to the retinal scanner with mom pointing her gun at him. 

"Retinal scanner active." The SHIELD computer said. 

"You don't you think we wiped your clearance from the system?" Pierce asked. 

"I know you erased my password, probably deleted my retinal scan, but if you want to stay ahead of me, Mr. Secretary..." Fury removed his eyepatch to reveal his scarred dead eye. That thing was UGLY. "You need to keep both eyes open." Fury said. They both looked into the retinal scanner with Fury using his dead eye. 

"Alpha Level confirmed. Encryption code accepted. Safeguards removed."

Brooklyn P.O.V.

Dad and I tried getting away from the HYDRA agents shooting at us on the Helicarrier. 

"Hey, Sam, we're gonna need a ride." Dad said into his earpiece. "Roger! Let me know when you're both ready." Dad jumped down. I managed to jump off the edge as a missile came to me. I rolled my eyes. "I just did!" Sam came by just in time to catch me. Sam flew us to the Helicarrier, where we met dad.

"You know, you're a lot heavier than you look." He said. Ouch. That hurt not gonna lie. " I had a big breakfast." I said. Suddenly, Bucky appeared and pushed me off of the edge. 

"BROOKLYN!"

Third Person P.O.V.

"BROOKLYN!" Steve yelled before jumping off to go rescue his daughter. As Sam went to go and help her, Bucky grabbed one of his wings and threw him back. Sam started shooting at him as he flies off but Bucky ripped one of his wings and kicked him off the Helicarrier. Sam managed to get his parachute out and landed on the roof of Triskelion. "Cap? Cap, come in. Are you okay? Brooklyn? Hello?" Sam asked in his earpiece. He looked and saw Brooklyn and Steve hanging on the side of the Helicarrier.

"Yeah, I'm here! I'm still on the Helicarrier." Brooklyn said. She then pulled herself up. "Where are you?"

" I'm grounded, the suit's down. Sorry, Cap." Sam said. 

"Don't worry, I got it." Steve said. Bucky watched Steve from above the Helicarrier.  As everyone at the Triskelion was rushing around trying to evacuate the building, Rumlow fought and killed some SHIELD agents. "All SHIELD agents regroup at Rally Point Delta." A SHIELD agent said. Rumlow killed the speaker and another 3 agents. 

"Sir, Council's been breached." HYDRA dispatch said on radio. "Repeat, dispatch." Rumlow said. 

"Black Widow's up there." the HYDRA dispatch said. "Headed up!" Rumlow said. Maria noticed Rumlow on the monitor. 

"Falcon?"

"Yeah?"

"Rumlow's headed for the Council."

"I'm on it."

Brooklyn P.O.V.

In the Helicarrier me and dad were confronted by Bucky. 

"People are gonna die, Buck. I can't let that happen." Dad said. Bucky stared at him coldly. "Please, don't make me do this." Seeing Bucky won't back down dad threw his shield at him and they started to battle each other, as they fought dad managed to bring up the targeting blade system, but as Bucky attacked him, a chip fell from dads hand. 

I dived for it but then Bucky  stabbed me in the shoulder and grabbed the chip. Pain spread around my shoulder. Blood oozed out of my shoulder.

Dad grabbed Bucky by the throat and threw him down and armlocked him. 

"Drop it! Drop it!" Dad yelled. As Bucky continued to hold the chip, Dad broke his arm and held it to his throat until he passed out and dropped the chip. Dad grabbed the chip, picked me up bridal style, and rushed off. 

"One minute." I heard Maria say on the earpiece. I jumped out of his arms and ran back to the Helicarriers to get to the targeting system. I then felt another sharp pain. One in my left thigh and the other on my right shoulder. Bucky must have gained consciousness and shot me. Luckily I still managed to climb up, I saw dad wasn't far behind. "Thirty seconds" Maria said. 

Dad finally caught up to us. "Stand by." He pulled out the chip. "Charlie..." Bucky shot Steve in the stomach and he fell. "Charlie locked." Dad said. 

"Okay, Cap, Brooke, get out of there." Maria said. 

" Fire now." Dad said. 

"But, Steve."

"Do it! Do it now!" Dad looked down at Bucky below him. 

I heard an explosion and we started to fall. I looked up and saw Dad helping Bucky out from being trapped in the rubble. 

"You know me." Dad said. Bucky lashed out in anger. "No, I don't!"

I turned around and both of my shoulders and my thigh were still bleeding. I grabbed some duck tape and cloths I found on the ground and taped them on my suit. 

"Bucky, you've known me your whole life." Dad continued. Bucky hit dad but dad chose not to fight back. "Your name is James Buchanan Barnes." Bucky hit dad again. 

"Shut up!" Dad took off his mask and dropped his shield out of the helicarrier. 

"I'm not gonna fight you. You're my friend." Bucky pushed dad to the ground. 

" You're my mission."  Bucky then mercilessly punched dad repeatedly across the face. " You're my mission!"

"Then finish it." Dad said. Bucky hesitated holding his fist up. "Cause I'm with you to the end of the line." Bucky looked at dad as if he was starting to remember. Just then the bottom of the Helicarrier fell sending me into the river below. 

Then everything went black.

I woke up in a bed in a hospital room. Dad was on the couch next to me. 

"On your left." I said. Dad chuckled. 

"What happened?" I asked. Then I heard something that was unexpected.

Bucky pulled me out of the river.
