Chapter 12

P.O.V/ Nicole Henderson:

It's been almost two weeks since Valerie fled after Kelly made her kill my mom. It all happened so fast and I couldn't get out of that force field plus Karen and Jim's back yard was in flames. I have never been so scared in my entire life.... My mom was dead that lightning bolt went straight through her chest it killed her instantly. My dad was scared but he changed my mom into a vampire-witch and she came back but she is considered immortal now because she was born human not a vampire so she doesn't age anymore. It's Thursday April 14, 2011 I'm at school with Riley and the others. It's lunch time we are sitting at one of those round tables eating. It's me, Riley, Sam, Dani, Carly, Jenny and Cheyenne we are talking while we eat our lunch but Sam is silent with her lunch tray still in front of her she hasn't touched her food. She has been depressed about Valerie she is worried sick about her, She can barely eat or sleep. All of us have been out searching for her even our parents but we haven't found anything. Riley looks over at Sam beside her then said " Sis you need to eat". Sam said as she didn't look at Riley " I just don't feel like it". I said " We'll find her I promise". Sam pushes the tray back and said " It's been almost two weeks she should have been back by now but I wouldn't want to come back if I thought I killed Jane either". I said " I know that's what she's thinking that she killed my mom but she's fine now my dad turned her". Sam said " All I can think about is that she is out there all alone with no one not even her family because she has nobody". I remember what Mom and Dad told me the other day. I said " Yeah my parents said they have been over to Valerie's aunt and uncle's house for the past week but nobody was home and when they went back the house was empty like they moved out and just abandoned Valerie". Sam said " It doesn't surprise me Velma and Darrell are drunks that don't give a shit about anyone but their selves they didn't want to take Valerie in but they had no choice to". Riley said " Mom and Jane are going back over to the house today after work to get Valerie's things that's all they left was what belong to her I just don't see how they can just abandon a teenage girl like that". Sam said " It's because they are assholes". I see Adrian coming this way she slaps a boy in the back of the head as she passes by. I said to others " Here comes trouble". Adrian walks up and stands behind Sam. She said " What's up losers?" I said " What do you want Adrian?" She said " Nothing I thought I'd come say hi". I said " Nobody wants anything to do with you at this table". She looks down at Sam and rubs her shoulders She said " Cheer up you'll find another girl". Sam said as doesn't turn around " I don't want another girl". Adrian keeps her hands on her shoulders and bends down beside Sam's ear. She said " Why don't you try dating someone older like me? I promise I can make you feel things better than she ever could". Sam scoffs " Yeah right". She reaches back and shoves Adrian's hand off her shoulder. She giggles as she looks down at Sam. I'm confused doesn't Adrian like Dani? I said " I thought you have a crush on Dani?" Adrian runs her fingers through Sam's dark blonde hair and said " Things change. besides there is nothing better than a beautiful light skin girl. So tell me does the carpet match the drapes?" Riley coughs after she takes a drink of her water. Sam said " What??" I can't help but snicker at the dumb question. Riley said to Sam " She wants to if the color of your hair is the same as your pubic hair". Sam said as giggled " No weirdo this isn't my natural hair color it's the same color as Riley's". Adrian said " Here's my number if you change your mind". She lays a sticky note on the table in front of Sam and she walks off. Sam crumbles the paper in her hand. Dani said " I never thought she'd leave me alone but now Sam has to deal with her". Sam said " I'm not worried about her she doesn't scare me". Dani said " Just be careful don't ever be alone with her cause the minute she sees an opening she'll take it".

Later on that day after school I drove home Riley and Sam followed me in their cars. We met my mom and Jesse at the house from there we all got in Jesse's black 2011 Mustang GT and she drove us to Valerie's aunt and uncle's house or what was their house. The house is located on the out skirts of town almost in a different county. It was a distance away. Jesse pulls in the long gravel driveway and parks in front of a really old barn with red paint that is faded because of age. We all get out and Mom sees the barn She said " Damn how long did they live here?". Sam said " Valerie said they lived here for about thirty years". We walk up to the old farm house it is white with Forrest green shutters on the windows and the roof of the house is metal matching the shutters. Jesse is the first one to step up on the big porch she walks up to the glass door and looks in. The front door is green with a window in the middle she opens the glass door and turns the silver knob but it's locked. Jesse takes her hand off the door knob and turns her hand to the right in a twisting motion. We hear the sound of the door unlocking from inside Jesse turns the knob and opens the door revealing the empty living room. We walk in Mom is the last one in and closes the doors behind her. Jesse walks around scanning the living room there is a bunch of old newspapers, beer cans, beer bottles and liquor bottles strung everywhere. Jesse picks up an empty bottle of Jack Daniels and said to Sam " Why didn't you tell me that one of them was an alcoholic?" Sam said " They both were I was going to but Valerie begged me not to because she didn't want to be embarrassed". Jesse said " Were they mean to Valerie?" Sam said " Verbally". Jesse tosses the liquor bottle on the floor and it makes a clanging noise. Jesse said " I can't believe that she lived like this and none of knew". Sam walks down a hallway and we follow her into a room on the left side of the hallway. We walk in and see what is obviously Valerie's bedroom. Sam is at the dresser it has a mirror attached to it like mine. She pulls a picture of her and Valerie off the mirror and slides it in the back pocket of her jeans. Mom walks back into the living room with two empty boxes in her hands she gives one to Sam and she opens the dresser and starts putting Valerie's clothes in it Jesse walks over to the black night stand and opens the top drawer putting things in it like old pictures, jewelry, an old phone and a charger, she opens the second one and finds a small metal box that is a safe, she puts in the box then opens the last drawer. Jesse exclaims in surprise Sam looks back and her face starts to blush. In the drawer is a nine inch strap on with a black fabric harness, three vibrators and some sex lube. Sam walks over and puts the stuff in the box and giggles. Sam said " Have you never seen a strap before Mom?" Jesse's face is blushed from embarrassment so is my mom's. Jesse said " I have just not one that's been used on my daughter". Mom said " I have seen bigger than that strap on". Jesse said " I know right". Me, Riley and Sam look at them with a disgusted face cause we know they are talking about our Dads. We said in unison " Ewwwwww".... As we all gather things putting them in boxes there is a noise. Jesse whispered " What was that?" Mom quietly walks through the open door and down the hallway. We listen until we hear Mom exclaim in pain. Jesse said " Jane!" She runs hallway we run after her. We run into the living room where we find Mom on her knees she is bent down holding her stomach. Jesse helps her up and said " What happened?" She said " I don't know I was just standing here when all a sudden I felt like something punched me in the stomach". Jesse said " Did you see what it was?" Mom shakes her head no. Mom pulls up her shirt and we see a small bruise on her six pack that is in the form of a fist, a very small one the bruise starts to fade as her body starts healing itself. Jesse said " That looks like a little kid hit you". Mom lets her shirt down and we hear the sound of a laugh that sounds like Chucky the killer doll. We look around the living room Jesse said " Come on let's get the hell out of here". We all walk back to Valerie's room and each pick up a box. Jesse holds the box in one hand as she opens the front door she then opens the glass door and we all follow her out to the driveway where she pops the trunk open with the key remote. We put the boxes in the trunk and get in the car Jesse puts the key in the ignition and turns it starting the car. The sound of the engine roars as Jesse revs the engine up. She pulls the gear shifter into reverse and backs out of the gravel driveway where she turns right driving down the road shifting gear as she builds up speed. We make it to Jesse's house she pulls in the driveway Brandon is at work today so his car isn't in the driveway. Jesse parks the car in front of the garage door and turns the engine off. We all get out and walk around to the back where Jesse unlocks the trunk with a key remote. The trunk comes up and all a sudden a dwarf sized man springs out jumping on Jesse's head we exclaim in surprise she starts trying to throw him off he sits on her shoulders he starts punching her in the head as she exclaims. He is dressed in a Leprechaun outfit. Mom starts trying to help get him off but he grips his legs holding on tight as he cackles evilly. Another dwarf sized man appears from the trunk and leaps on Mom's back she exclaims in surprise as she tries to throw him off. Three more dwarf sized men jump out of the trunk at me, Riley and Sam. I duck as the dwarf man flies over my head I look over as I hear Riley exclaim she has one on her leg and he's smiling evilly as he humps her leg as she shakes him, the other one is on Sam's back as she struggles to get him off. I kick the dwarf off Riley's leg and said " No humping!" he exclaims in pain as he rolls into the bush in the yard. I said to Sam " Hold still!" She holds still and I shoot an Energy spark at the dwarf it hits him in the face and he flies across Jesse's car. I look over at Mom and Jesse finally they throw them off into the grass. Jesse panics as she searches for her car keys in her blue jeans that have the house keys on them. She hears snickering the one that jumped on her jangles the keys and zooms across the yard with the others up to the front porch. Jesse sees them at the door She said " You little bastards!" we run across the yard and up on the porch they are inside the house right as Jesse dashes for the door the last one slams the door in her face and she runs into it and stumbles backwards. The sounds of evilly laughter comes from the other side of the door. Mom helps Jesse up she has her hand on her head groaning in pain. Jesse smacks the door with both hands angrily she looks around scanning the neighborhood for people but nobody is in sight she grabs Mom's hand, Mom grabs mine as I hold Riley's and Sam's. Jesse teleports by the use of white lights into the house. She teleports into the kitchen. The floor under our feet becomes slippery like ice we slip and slide across the icy floor and slide into the living room and crash like bowling pins. I stumble up and stand beside the island in the middle of the kitchen. All of a sudden a Shillelagh comes around the island and whacks me in the vagina hard I exclaim in pain and hit the floor on my knees I see the red headed dwarf man walk from behind the island holding the Shillelagh in his small hands. He said in a deep Irish accent " Ouch!! right in the cookie!" he laughs wickedly and whacks me in the jaw with the Shillelagh. I hit the ground on my side I hear Mom and the others fighting with the other dwarfs. I see Riley appear and shoot lightning from her hand at the dwarf man. It hits him in the chest and he flies into the lower cabinets by the fridge. She helps me up and we hear Jesse, Mom and Sam in the living room they have hockey sticks in the hands swinging them at the four dwarf sized men surrounding them. One dashes by Jesse's legs extremely fast and hockey checks her knee sending her flying onto the glass coffee table in the middle of the room. She exclaims in pain at the impact Riley and I go to use our powers and one of them throws an electric ball that surrounds us in a red force field. A different one dashes by Mom's legs and hockey checks her in both knees sending her flipping up and landing on her stomach on the hard wood floor. A black headed one throws his hand up at Sam as she swings her hockey stick it flies out of her hand and another dwarf shoots something from his hand and it hits Sam she stops dead in her tracks and turns into stone. Riley and I exclaim in surprise the five dwarf men turn around looking at me and Riley in the force field. inside it starts sparking with random energy until it shocks us everything went black as we hit the floor.
