Suddenly..the clock stops ticking, the clock looks to be slowly melting down the wall. As it seems, the rest of the room is also melting, the woolen rug, no longer clean and white, was now stained with a red viscous fluid. Alice looks at the woolen rug, placing her hand on it, before discovering that it is in fact blood. She hopped back into bed, attempting to wake herself from this dream like state, pinching her arms and counting sheep to go back to sleep. Sadly, she wasn't able to fall back to sleep and the pinching actually caused her pain, which meant, poor Alice wasn't dreaming. Much to Alice's horror, there seems to be small, clockwork like insects crawling out of the face of the melting clock! Quickly and quietly she hops out of her bed and exits the room, closing the door behind her.
"What is going on! Did the rabbit cause this? I wonder where it ran off too...," Alice ponders her thoughts out loud as she tries to piece together where the rabbit came from. "It isn't possible that the rabbit could have from Aynor, that forest if full with the dire animals, the wolves won't let anyone who isn't mad or oddly deranged pass through," Alice shivers as she looks over at the forest, the forest seems alive as wind passes through a nearby window. From the window she sees the wind move the trees. Makes the mind believe the forest is breathing, alive, and ready to devour all who near it. " The rabbit went into the forest with no problem..Maybe I can too, I mean he looks like an innocent white rabbit..What could be so mad about a cute little rabbit?" Alice asks this question to herself several times before getting enough courage to go back into the room, get dressed, tie her sheets and the neighboring beds sheets together as a way down from her room on the second floor and starts heading to the forest. She stops right on the edge of the dark forest and takes a deep breath through her nose and the smell of earth and flowers comes through the forest with a gentle breeze. The forest almost seems to beckon her to enter, whispering softly, wind caressing her ear. The wolves are nowhere to be seen as she takes a very vigorous look around her to make sure she wasn't followed or woke anyone in her home.
