"That party was insane."

Topper Thorton and Rafe Cameron made their way over the green of the golf course, swinging their clubs around as they spoke.

"What happened last night?" Toppers words threw the Cameron boy off guard, though he had been expecting it to come at some point or another. "Ophelia seemed completely un phased by it all but, you broke his nose, man."

Topper didn't mean to pry, it was a simple question of interest, though when Rafe's face fell twisted into embarrassment, he immediately felt bad for asking in the first place. "Turned my back for two seconds and some low life scum was all over her." Rafe chorused, his jaw clenching in anger thinking about last nights events.

"Yeah, well, that's what happens when the Kook Princess is single at a party." Single. A simple word that made Rafe question where he stood with Ophelia. The two had known each other for as long as they could remember, although being friends with the Martin girl had never seemed to be enough for the Cameron boy.

Flirtatious manners and constant affection was a part of the pairs friendship. No one had batted an eye or bothered with a second glance when the two engaged flirtatiously, although the underlying fact that they were just friends would always be recognized.

"I mean, my first thought when I did the line was bro do we have enough?" Topper chuckled lowly, breaking Rafe from his trance who then dropped the golf ball towards his feet. "Hey, you didn't tell Sarah, did you?"

Topper's question lingered in the air as his friend aligned the ball and began to swing, thoughts of Ophelia pushed into the back of his mind for the time being. "Are you kidding me man? The way she runs her mouth." Topper nodded subtly, his thoughts wandering to the other female of the group, one who he spoke cautiously about around Rafe.

"Ophelia wouldn't, right?"

Rafe pursed his lips as his cold stare met Topper's, who's shoulders shrugged in response as his cheeks flushed in nervousness. "She wouldn't tell Sarah even if she didn't do it." Rafe huffed in annoyance, narrowing his stare in on the boy. "You're right." Topper agreed. "I mean, that was pretty fucking cool. If only Sarah was like Ophelia."

Rafe clenched his jaw, his fingers wrapping tightly around the golf club as his head snapped towards his blonde haired friend, the pure imagine of Topper being interested in Ophelia causing Rafe to feel pure anger, a sickness rising in his throat as he shook the mental image aside.
