Gordie was enjoying his evening writing some new stories in his notebook when he heard some small pounds on his window. He would blame it on the tree which was right next to his window but it wasn't windy whatsoever. Gordie decided to investigate the small pounding on the window when he opened his window he found his best friend Chris and crush since the sixth grade holding a handful of small pebbles to throw at the window.

"Took you long enough Lachance" Chris shouted to Gordie and he just laughed. "Well what are you doing here Chambers it's almost 10:00 pm" he replied. "I came to get you now common and hurry down here" Chris yelled to Gordie as well as dropping the pebbles back onto the ground. "I can't my parents will wake up if they hear me go down stairs" Gordie replied clearly trying to be quiet. You see Gordie's parents did not like Chris even know he wasn't as bad as his brothers he still got a bad rep.

"Just climb out the window and onto the tree" Chris said like it was obvious. "Erm alright" Gordie replied because he was always wanting to hangout to with Chris any chance he got. Gordie swing his leg out the window and stretched it out to the tree the tree wasn't to far but it was still pretty high up. "Chris I don't know about this" he said while he held onto the branch for dear life. "Hey if you fall I'll catch you" Chris said and put out his arms and laughed. Gordie just rolled his eyes but Gordie had already fallen for Chris years ago. Gordie started to climb down the tree and Chris helped him down when he got closer to the bottom.

"Where are we even going"? Gordie asked after finally putting his feet on the ground. "You'll see come on" Chris said and started walking towards the woods. Gordie just followed because he trusted Chris more than anyone in the world. He would follow him to the ends of the earth.

Chris as they were walking was just talking to Gordie just making small talk. "Got your eyes on any girls Lachance" Chris asked in a teasing tone. Gordie just laughed and replied "No, when have you ever hear me talk about a girl?" "I guess your right but I don't know I just assumed you didn't like to talk about that kinda stuff" Chris said and shrugged his shoulders. "Oh Um anyways we are here" he said and motioned toward the treehouse that they used to hangout in during the sixth grade.

"The treehouse?" Gordie asked he obviously knew it was the tree house but he was asking in more of a confused tone of why he would be bringing him here. Chris did say anything he just started walking to it and pushed open the hatch and Gordie followed. It was the same but different as he remembered the furniture is all the same but it was cleaner. "Yeah I just thought we could come visit this place I've missed it" he said in kind of a whisper. "Me too" Gordie said in the same tone.

"Um hey Chris we are friends and friends can tell each other anything right?" He asked and looked at Chris. Chris looked into his eyes and spoke calmly "of course man anything." "Well I have never had my eye on girls it always been boys and always will be" Gordie said he was trying to keep calm and not start crying because he didn't want to seem like a pussy. "What do you mean Gordo?" Chris asked even know he knew exactly what he meant. "Chris I'm gay and I have liked you since the summer after sixth grade when we went on that trip up Harlow" he said and now there were a few tears falling from his face."

"Hey Gordie it's alright stop crying" he whispered in a calming tone and pulled Gordie into a hug. And he just held him for a minute till he looked down at him and kissed him. Gordie panicked for a minute because he was in shock but then came to the realization of what was happening and kissed Chris's back. Chris's eventually pulled away and they were both panting like dogs in the summer. "Sorry if that was to forward" Chris said and Gordie just laughed a bit and said "no your good now give me some skin" and they both laughed and Chris did as he was told.
