As I entered the throne room, everyone went silent. You could only hear the loud stomps of Thor's boots on the marble floor. "What is the meaning of this?" Odin asked. I was now at the foot of his throne. I was forced on my knees by Thor. "She is a Scarlet Witch. The last of her kind. She must be executed." Thor said as he looked at me with a death glare. Tears were forming in my eyes. "Is this true?" Odin questioned me, almost as if he thought Thor was lying. "Yes my king, I am a Scarlet Witch. Do what you must." I knew better than to try to argue my case. In my first few years of fighting with Sif, she told me about the all the executions. How people would plead their cases and then Odin would get annoyed and kill them sooner that he should have. Some of those people where completely innocent but it was only when they tried to protest their innocence that they were killed. I heard Thor let out a huff. I heard the executioner walk towards me. I prepared for the worst. "I'm so sorry mother." I whispered as I prepared for my fateful end. Then I heard the throne room doors get thrown open. "STOP!" I heard someone yell. It was Loki. "Stop. Please don't kill her. She wants nothing but peace. In fact to prove that she only wants peace she has agreed to marry me." I turned around and looked at him confused. What is he doing? "This will be good for all the realms. It will show that not all Scarlet Witches are monsters. It will show that we were only perceiving them to be monsters." Loki spoke with such wise words. Odin looked shocked. "They are monsters Loki. No matter how much you try to change her she will always be a monster." Odin spoke. Thor looked torn. He didn't know whether to side with his brother or his father. His opinion of me had changed drastically in the past couple minutes. "Then don't kill her. Let her try to live in peace with me. If she doesn't live up to your standards, then you can kill her." Loki pleaded. Odin thought for a moment. "Fine, but if she steps out of line even once. She will be executed within the hour. Dismissed." Odin said as he hit his septer on the ground. I stood and turned to see Loki waiting for me at the entrance of the throne room. He held his hand out. I took it. "Play along. We have to make them think we are actually engaged." He said in his mind. My powers had come back on the walk to the door. We walked hand in hand all the way to his room. We walked in and he locked the door behind us. I yanked my hand out of his. "What were you thinking?" I whisper yelled. "I couldn't let you die. You are the only way we are going to win this war." He whispered back. " Did you not just hear Odin? If I step out of line I will be executed in the hour. I think fighting a war against him would classify as stepping out of line." I said as I started to pace. Loki looked at me, he looked almost sympathetic. "After you fight in this war, I can send you to another realm. One where no one will hurt you." He said as he grabbed my hand. "I won't let anything too bad happen to you." He said as he smiled. I smiled too. "When does the battle begin?" I asked him. "Trying to get away from me already I see." He walked towards his window as he let go of my hand. His fair skin glistening in the sunlight. It was enough to make any girl swoon. I couldn't fall for him. I barely know him, yet we are technically engaged. Life was so much easier 2 days ago. All I had to worry about was what part of my house I was going to clean first. I walked over to his bed and sat down. There was a pile of books. They looked to be from Midguard. "Romeo and Juliet" I whispered to myself. I picked it up and started reading. When I had finally looked up from the book the sun was setting. I had almost finished it. It was a tale of two people who could never be together, but then couldn't spend their lives apart. This ended in them both dying. It took the death of 2 of their children to make the families realize the feud was pointless. I heard a knock at the door. I looked around and Loki was gone. I got up and answered it. "Thor? It was do I owe this pleasure." I asked him. He just smiled and nodded for me to follow him. I shut the door behind me. As we were walking I realized I was still in my true form. I stopped walking making Thor turn to look at me. I focused my power and changed into a green colored dress with golden sleeves. My hair was in a French braid to one side. I continued to follow him and we made our way to a meeting room. I saw Sif and 2 other warriors I had never seen before. "So this is the witch." One of them said. I just nodded. "This is Vostagg, and that over there is Fandral. You already know Sif." He said as he walked towards the table. "So what is this about?" I asked. Thor explained the details of the battle. I was to come in and try to destroy every frost giant I could. I just nodded knowing that I wouldn't actually be needing to know this plan and how is works. Where is Loki? He should be here. Unless Thor has found out that he is siding with his own people. I tried to read Thor's mind but I kept getting blocked out. So then I tried to read Sif's. Same thing. I tried to read everyone in the rooms mind and nothing. Maybe my powers are just malfunctioning. Then I thought back to when I was in Loki's room. There was a book of spells. One that I had read many times growing up, trying to learn how to control my magic. One of the chapter was about how to control a Scarlet Witch. "If a Scarlet Witch has the emblem on them they are owned." I looked on my wrist. There was a helmet that had horns sticking out of the top of it. Loki. While I had been reading he cast a spell. He could control me. He must have turned my mind reading powers off. I was going to be used as his weapon. I stood up quickly and make my way out of the room. I ran back to Loki's room and found the book laying the the spot Loki had last been in when I saw him. I turned the pages and found the spell about owning Scarlet Witches. "The only way for the spell to be broken is to go to another realm, but when going to another realm you leave all of your memories behind." There was only one way for me to get out of this. I had to run. I changed back into my true form and broke the window. I flew out the window using my powers and made my way to the BiFrost. Hemidall stood. "Where do you want to go?" He asked me. "Somewhere far from here." He looked out into the Galaxy and said, "I will send you to Midguard." I asked him not to tell anyone where I had gone. He willingly agreed. He opened the bridge and I stepped through. I landed on the ground. "Where am I?" I asked myself. I was in the middle of a camp of some kind. I saw soldiers running up to me. I was in a uniform. Then a million memories flooded my mind. How I had grown up next to Steve Rodgers and how I had become very close with Bucky Barnes. How my parents had died when I was young. How I was given my powers by this weird glowing box. How Steve had become a super soldier. I got snapped out of my mind by a voice. "Hey Gail. You ok?" "Yeah Steve I'm fine. Now come on. We gotta go get Bucky."
