Chapter 3

Steve and I rode our motorcycles down the dirt path. We had to figure out what happened to the 107th. We got to the gate and I used my powers to push the agents back. We had to lay low in order for this to work. We had to be stealthy. Steve and I went our separate ways to search as quickly as possible. I ran past a large group of rooms. They all seemed to be empty. Except for one. I tried to open the door but it was locked so I used my powers to push it open. I slowly walked in. The cube was glowing. I recognized it. This is the cube that gave me my powers. When I was first given my powers they were a blessing. I could help save people, but after a while people saw how powerful I had become and began to fear me. I saw the fear in their eyes when I tried to stop the enemy. In the streets I would get called all kinds of things, but mostly they would call me a freak. The only people that have always trusted me have been Steve and Bucky. They never were scared of me. I walked close enough to the cube that I could touch it. Maybe if it gave me my powers, maybe it could take them away too. I touched the cube and my mind burned. I saw flashes of a golden palace. 2 men with crowns on their heads. One with dark black hair and one with blonde hair. I saw a rainbow bridge. I heard someone yelling. Telling me to come home, where I was safe. I tried to find where the voice was coming from but I couldn't. I let go of the cube abruptly. I stepped back, almost in fear. "What the hell was that?" I whispered to myself. "Wanda!" I heard. I turned around but no one was there. "Who is Wanda?" I asked out loud still thinking the person was in the room with me. "Wanda! It's Loki. They put me in the dungeons but I changed my ways. I decided to fight along side them. I need to get out of here to help them or they will all die. Please Wanda you have to come back!" I heard. I just kept turning around and around. "I'm not Wanda. My name is Gail. I don't know who Loki is or where this dungeon is, so if you could leave me alone I would appreciate it." I said as I walked towards the cube. Maybe this will shut this guy up. I touched the cube again, thinking that it was going to shock me again but this time it was different. I stood in a gold room. It had white furniture and there was a man standing on the other side. He seemed familiar. "Wanda, I know you don't remember me but I need you to come back to Asguard." I just looked at him confused. "Stop calling me Wanda. My name is Gail and I don't know what Asguard is. Is that in like England or something?" He looked at me concerned. "Let me into your mind." I heard him say as he started walking towards me. "No." I said as I kept backing up until I was against the wall. "If you let me into your mind I can help you get your memories back. You can rejoin Thor and I in Asguard, where you belong." He touched my head and I gasped. A million memories flooded my head. I remember everything, from both lifetimes. I looked at him with fear in my eyes. "Why would I ever help you? You put a spell on me that was like putting a leash on a dog." I yelled at him. He stepped back shocked. "I guess you have your memories back." He murmured. "Yeah I have my memories back and my hatred for you is thick as ever." I said as I tried to use my powers to push him. Before I was upset thinking that he was going to use me as a weapon but now I was just in rage. My powers weren't working. "Why won't my powers work?" I asked him. He pointed to the runes on the walls. "In a given space only the witch that cast the runes can use their magic." He said. "I had a feeling you would be mad at me so I decided to cast these." I just looked at him dumbfounded. "Well I'm still not going to help you. I have people that actually care about me here. People who don't fear me." I said as I tried to open the door to the room. There has got to be a way out of here somewhere. "The only way out is for you to ask me to let you out." I just looked at him. He really thinks I'm going to ask him for anything. After all he has done. "I'm waiting." I heard him mumble. "Will you let me out please?" I asked him. He nodded. "But under one condition. You come back to Asguard and set me free. I wish to not see my brother dead along with my mother." I nodded in agreement. With a swift move of his hand I was back in the dark room I started in. I turned to run out of the compound when I heard Steve. Bucky right behind him. "Gail, where have you been? We've been looking for you for 45 minutes. We thought they had taken you." Bucky said as he hugged me. I hugged him back. "I have to go." I said plainly. Steve and Bucky looked at each other confused. "What does that mean?" I just started to walk away. The thought of leaving them and never knowing when I would see them again was quite sad. I started to tear up was a ran down the corridor and out the big gate. Steve and Bucky ran after me. "Hemdall, open the BiFrost!" I yelled into the sky. Bucky looked me concerned. "What are you yelling about?" He questioned. Suddening light was picking me up off the ground. The next thing I know I was in Asguard. I ran from the Bifrost, not even saying hello to Hemdall. I used my powers to fly over Asguard and to the dungeons. It looked like a tornado had just gone through the dungeons. I slowly walked through the dungeons, ready to attack if necessary. I saw only one cell was occupied. "Loki?" I asked. He turned to look at me and for the first time I saw a genuine smile. "You're here?" He asked me. I just nodded and went over and turned off the forcefield that was keeping him locked in. "We have to find Thor and my mother." He spoke. I followed him into the castle. I heard the sounds of war as we walked past the ball room. I saw a bright flash of light. Not just any light. But lightning. I knew Thor needed help. "You get to your mother. I'll help Thor." I said opening the doors and running straight into battle. I heard Loki start to protest but I was already to far gone to care. I used my powers to knock out as many frost giants as possible. Thor was fighting 2 frost giants at once. I wasn't worried until another one came up behind him and went to stab him. I pulled away the frost giants sword with my powers and pushed him through the outside wall and made a large hole. Thor looked at me and smiled. Almost as if to say Thank you. I continued to throw Frost Giants into the air but one hit me over the head when I wasn't looking. The only thing I remember after that was, "Get her to Johtenheim. She will make a great warrior." Then darkness overtook my sight.
