(1) The New Girl

I sighed. School had just begun, and there wasn't anything to look forward too. I scanned the classroom and it was the same old faces until- One girl seemed new. I racked my brains, trying to remember who she reminded me of. She was most likely new to our town, and she looked slightly Asian in a way. I stopped. That's who she reminded me of. Ethan. I scowled again as I saw him walk in and take a seat. He was half-Korean and was your basic fuck boy. Except better, since he got those K-Pop looks. Even worse, the teacher assigned Me, Ethan, Mari, and the new girl.
"Hey, I'm Jake." I said, looking at the new girl. She smiled weakly and mumbled something again, which I asked her to repeat. Her face turned red as she mumbled it again, and was interrupted by Ethan. He chuckled looking at her. Man, how I hated him.
"Do you want me to say what you said, Roy?" He said in a sing-song tone. She nodded, looking at Mari. "Her names Roy" Ethan said, looking at me like it was my fault I couldn't hear her. "You're Korean right?" He asked, now looking at her with seriousness. I felt a soft twinge of jealousness. I was just talking to her, and he stole her away.
"Mhm, half." She said, with confusion on her face. "Same" He laughed, causing me to frown again. I'd bet my money that she would be the next heartbroken girl in school. Even though I just met her, I wanted to keep her safe. She didn't even know what sex was, Roy was too pure to be crushed by a dick like him. Soon enough, lunch had come. Just as I had worried, he was talking and smiling at her. I wanted to stop him, but what was I supposed to say? While Roy was chatting with Mari, I took my opportunity to talk to Ethan.
"Leave her alone, don't you like Mari?" I accused him. He smirked and pulled me closer, bringing my hands to his knees while he was sitting.which caused my face to go slightly red. "You don't know who I like" He whispered in my ear, making the last word a moan. It was something that all the boys did but I felt so...weird when Ethan did it to me. I pulled away, noticing that Roy and Mari were starting at us. Mari looked disgusted while Roy was trying not to laugh. I tried to laugh and went back to my seat.
"Just a little show for what's coming Roy. " I said, smiling at her.
"I'm very interested in this Square." She said smirking at us all. It make me think that, this year, was going to be interesting.
