My mother enters our driveway. My eyes stay locked with the van just right next to our car.
My mom speaks up saying, "Okay guys. I'm going to check if anybody is inside that car."
"Van." I corrected her.
I knew she was giving me a glare but for some reason I wasn't scared. I haven't been scared of my mom got a while now.
My mother unlocks and opens her door. The cold air gets released and enters our car. I shiver.
"Hey, Hazel. Why are you not speaking? " Aaron asks.
My younger brother Aaron is extremely annoying. Always saying the most stupidest stuff at the most inappropriate times. Even though he's behind me I can already imagine the face he is making. Nose squished, eyes big and his cheeks puffing out like a chipmunk.
Okay. I can't help it.
I unbuckle my seat belt and turn around so I can face him. I am surprised knowing that's not the face he's making. Aaron's blue eyes are still, his lips pushed together and his eyebrows going up. It seems like he's thinking about something.
I want to ask him what's up but I can't because I'm afraid of what he would say. I feel like he would judge me. Like the whole world would judge me if I ask him that one question so I keep silent.
"Mommy's coming back." Ivy says.
Her baby cheeks gives her the adorable accent that is impossible not to love.
I smile. Each time I hear her talk it's like the heavens have just opened their doors. Her voice is extremely beautiful thing in the whole world.
I turn around still smiling just by hearing her voice.
She was right though. There my mom comes, it seems like she just left the house.
She comes to the driver's seat, which she wierdly left open, and told us that she checked everywhere and nobody was there.
She makes an assumption that maybe our father brought it from his work for whatever reason. I could tell that she didn't believe herself.
She takes a deep breath in as the night wind blows her brown, curly hair into her face.
I hear the two doors in the back seat's lock get unlocked. I unlock my door and push my door out.
" Wait mom-" I notice Aaron say
Just then I feel something grab a hold of my shirt pushing me forward. I quickly close my eyes as an instinct as my heart's beat races. Something goes over me and I start finding it hard to breath, as I feel like somebody is chocking me. My legs get kicked and my stomach gets punched. I can only hear screams unable to know who's voice it is as I hear my heart beat increasing rapidly.
...
" She's coming back..." a deep voice says.
I can't see a thing. Something is covering my eyes. I feel naked. Air keeps pressing onto my body making me shiver.
My eyes flutter open as I see a man's face directly in front of mine.
My body gets goosebumps as I try to back away from him but find it no good when I realized I am chained down.
I start getting scared and mix emotions of sadness, angry and being scared over flow through out my body.
I try to talk and ask the man what's going to happen but I start chocking on my own tears.
His black mask that he supposedly made out of with a black hat being on his face doesn't make anything better.
" Shut up or I kill you." The man says.
How the hell am I suppose to shut up if I might be dead in just a few seconds?
His voice wasn't from the United States. I could automatically tell he was from somewhere else.
" I'll- I'll-"I barely manage to say before crying.
I am not able to cover myself like a ball since I am sitting down. Back against the walls as chains are around my hands gripping it extremely tightly that I feel no blood circulation in my hands.
The man, wearing his plain black shirt and black pants that seems to have something that's the color red on some parts pulls out a gun from his pocket.
My while body starts to shake, my teeth chatters, my body is sweating and I go in complete shock.
My voice tries to get through my throat but it's like it's stuck there. I start chocking when I try to speak. My hair is covering some of my vision.
The guy points the gun towards me.
I don't know where we are. It's completely black. The only thing I can see is that guy.
I start praying to whatever type of religion I can even though I'm not religious.
I can't help but cry. My nose starts to heat up and disgustingly, some of my snot slowly falls off from my nose.
The guy puts his gun down but I am to afraid to notice. I'm to afraid to do anything.
" We will be there soon." The guys says in his tough voice.
" Please..." I think I say.
At the moment I don't even know if I'm talking or just thinking. I'm shaking violently. Wishing I was at home with my mother... wishing that I was anywhere but here.
