Sho stared out the window of the car that had picked him up from the train station gazing towards the sunrise. He even had an astonished look on his face looking at new things. Yoruichi grinned as she secretly watched him through the rear view mirror. She was excited to show him his new home and even around the neighborhood, might even go to the local field.
Yoruichi: "So Sho, how are you enjoying Shizuoka so far?"
Sho: "Well it definitely looks a lot nicer than Kamagasaki that's for sure."
They pulled into the Shihoin ryokan and made their way down the long gravel pathway leading them towards the front entrance of their home. Before they could make it to the entrance a young, dark-skinned boy with dark purple hair opened the door for them. He ran directly into his older sister's embrace.
Yoruichi:"Yushiro your 16 years old so please get off of me and show the new member of are family around"
Yushiro had an excited look in his eyes as he grabbed Sho's hands to guide him throughout the ryokan. Sho really wanted to see his own room so that's where Yushiro first took him. It had sliding doors, tatami flooring, a futon, and in the neighboring room was his own personal onsen. Yushiro waited patiently as Sho set up his belongings in the drawers beside his futon. He finished rather quickly and continued to follow Yushiro as he gave him the rest of the tour of the ryokan. The one room Sho was most excited about was the gym room. Yoruichi made sure to install her very own gym for any of the guests but was mostly used by her and her brother.
By the time Yushiro finished giving Sho the tour, Yoruichi was all set up and ready to help Sho in studying in preparation for elementary school. Yoruichi knew better than anyone that Sho needed to learn how to write even how to add and subtract problems. He went into the room with a smile on his face, ready to accomplish any task.
Sho's currently laying down with his eyes closed after experiencing what utter hell is like for a few hours. He could hear footsteps approaching so he quickly got up and opened his book. Both Yushiro and Yoruichi walked in asking if he wanted to go outside and walk the neighborhood to which Sho thanked the heavens and happily agreed too. They all put on some coats since it was a little chilly outside. As they were walking down the street towards the local field Sho innocently asked
Sho:"Where's the homeless people?"
Yoruichi instantly noticing him being sincere said
Yoruichi:"We're in a quiet middle class neighborhood so you won't see a homeless person around here for miles. While we were on that question I've had a question on my mind for some time now. Would you mind if I switched your last name Sutoku to are family name? You'd be Shihoin Sho. Sounds pretty cool right?
As soon as Sho heard those words he turned away from them. With a mix of emotions swelling up in his heart, he had to let it go so he did what anyone else would do in his situation and cried.
Sho:"I....I would l... love to be called Shi... Shihoin Sho."
They continued on towards the local field but walked a little bit slower so Sho could wipe the tears out of his eyes and so he could regain his composure. In the distance Sho could see a ton of older kids playing football which sorta surprised him, Yoruichi seeing this totally forgot to tell Sho about the football club she enrolled him into, so she teasingly said
Yoruichi:" Oh yeah, so Sho this is Suruga FC (football club), that I decided to enroll you into while I was on the train. It's filled with kids from this ward so you might even run into a few in Shogakko (Primary or Elementary School)
Making it to the field he quietly introduced himself to one of the coaches as Shihoin Sho and asked if he could play in the next game to which the coach kindly insisted him too and directed him towards a bin filled with red and blue mesh practice jerseys. Before he decided what team he wanted to join, he watched the game. It ended with the blue team winning 3-0. Sho saw one person on the blue team he thought would cause him trouble, a tall, dark blue haired delinquent.
Coach:"Hiroto-chan sub out for the newbie, and Ryuuji-chan come over here for a second."
Hiroto walked off the pitch onto a bench, all the while giving Sho the stink eye. Sho playfully stuck his tongue out and walked out onto the pitch. Glancing towards his new coach whispering something into Ryuuji's ear. After Ryuuji walked onto the pitch Sho could audibly hear him laughing to himself and lock eyes with Sho. Staring for a good 30 seconds, Ryuuji broke eye contact and tied his cleats
Sho greeted each player as he walked past them right into the striker position. He could tell Ryuuji and this damp grass was going to be a problem, he couldn't get a grip on the field with these sneakers on. But he was used to life throwing him a curveball. Ryuuji and Sho walked into the center circle and played rock paper scissors to see who would get the ball first and it seemed lady luck was on Sho's side because he won.
Taking it leisurely Sho passed the ball to his teammate and repositioned himself to take a pass back. Sho's teammate walked with the ball for a while, until his mark was making his way towards him. Before his mark could try to steal the ball he passed to Sho. Sho surveyed the area and ran down the right side of the field. Ryuuji ran right to him and locked him up. Sho dribbled the ball right to left then back to the right and ran as fast as he could with the ball. Ryuuji stumbled trying to steal the ball out of Sho's possession. Sho was to the right of the penalty box, he instinctively felt 2 defenders approaching behind him so he dribbled the ball to his dominant left leg and kicked it into the bottom right of the goal.
With that same energy the game continued on and it ended with a score 2-0. Sho scoring both goals. After the game finished Sho walked over to his tired opponents sitting on their side of the field and stood there. He closed his eyes and could clearly feel each one of his opponents positions. He didn't understand what this was, if he thought back to the first experience he had with this weird ability he clearly remembers dodging a punch to the back of his head back when he was fighting Kageyama and his friends. Opening his heterochromatic eyes looking directly into Ryuuji's, Sho whispered
Sho:"Nice match"
Ryuuji let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding and watched Sho's back as he walked off the pitch.
