Artemis has been in the infirmary for two days and Shino refuses to leave his side. "You have to eat Shino, or else you'll die." Venus clearly stated.

"But what if Arti wakes up?" Shino argued.

Venus sighed, "Please just eat something, I don't think Artemis to wake up to a passed out boyfriend, at least eat this apple," the nurse set the apple down on the bedside table and left the room holding a paper, which Shino assumed was a report.

At that moment, Artemis stirred. He groaned, taking a few seconds to readjust to the harsh lighting of the infirmary. As expected of someone who just went through hell, he immediately assumed a defensive stance. Upon recognizing the familiar face of his beloved, his shoulders relaxed.

"What happened?"

The clock had hit the 6 when Database finished his work. The teacher leaned back and spread his arms like an eagle, taking a long overdue stretch break after completing the seemingly never ending pile of paper work.

"Angelo, do you have a moment?" Venus stuck their head into the doorframe, "I need some advice on how to help a student."

Database's tired mind took quite some time to comprehend what Venus had just said, were they talking about Artemis?

"Come in."

Venus walked into the room, sitting down in one of Database's obnoxiously boring chairs. "I received a letter this morning, it had quite a concerning message," she said, handing over the paper.

Database took the paper, upon opening it, he gasped in horror and dropped the letter.

As it floated its way down to the floor, the message on the paper became painfully visible.

"What happened?"

"Oh my goodness Arti you're alive I thought I was gonna lose you," Shino said, tears dripping down his face, "We got you back."

Artemis looked at Shino with a puzzled look, "Who is 'we'?"

"Ermm... me and a couple other people," Shino replied

"So you're saying you didn't call authorities and jumped into the case yourself?"

"Arti I was trying to help you!"

"Shino you could have gotten yourself killed! And not just yourself but others as well. Do you know how many people could have gotten injured just to save me?"

"Arti... those were people who cared about you, and don't pretend that you wouldn't risk your life to save them too."

"Shino I'm not worth it ok, nobody should be risking their lives to save mine, its not a fair trade, it's not worth it ok."

Shino looked at Artemis with a shocked look. "Arti... please don't think that way. You are worth every ounce of you. If you ever need to talk I'm right here."

Artemis looked at Shino with a look one could not quite describe. It was something between love, anger, and sadness. He wasn't ready to let it all spill out yet, he was too tired. Instead of words, he opted for a simple embrace.

There the two were, in the infirmary of Monarch Academy, under the harsh lighting. It was just them two in the moment. You could blow up the world, and it wouldn't matter, because they were each other's world.

The apple still sat on the bedside table.

i lost interest in originsmcrp after they broke up, but it still holds a part in my heart. origins brought me friends ill never forget, and was a major part of my early teens.

the main motivation to keep writing was to exercise my writing skills. that means i really dont have an idea of where this plot will go, if you have any suggestions on where the plot will go, please leave them in the comments. i will consider them, so this book will really be a you choose, who knows it may be fun :D
