Chapter 3: A Promise

I woke up and noticed i wasn’t in my bed. I was about to freak out when i remembered what happened last night. I looked next to mr to see gaara gone ‘i wonder where he went i know we were supposed to spend the day together so maybe he went downstairs for breakfast’ i thought as i got up made the bed then headed to the bathroom to get ready. I put on my a pair of tan ninja shorts and a red t-shirt with my ninja pouch on my right leg with a few kunai and shuriken in them just in case. I headed downstairs to the kitchen to see temari and kankuro but not gaara. I waved at them “morning cat dude and tem” i said while taking kankuro’s toast. He glared at me “morning ghost i went to wake you but you weren’t there where were you” temari asked confused. I blushed “i um spent the night in gaara’s room” i said.i saw kankuro smirk “ haha you're so adorable did you to cuddle” kankuro asked laughing. My face got redder “NO we did not” i said. “Of course you're only kids don’t want you're innocents to be ruined” temari said. I nodded “anyway speaking of gaara where is he” i asked. They both shrugged “ i think he said he was going to the park down the street” kankuro said. I nodded “well bye guys” i said about to head out when kankuro stopped me “wait ghost” he said. I turned around and looked at him confused. “Sup” i asked. “Just you don;t know gaara enough he is.. Just be careful okay” he said from the table. “He’s what why do i need to be careful” i asked. “Nothing don’t worry” temari said. I looked in their eyes to see fear and right then i knew what they meant my face turned serious and i crossed my arms over my chest. “You guys think he’s a monster don’t you” i said glaring at them. They both looked shocked at me but didn’t answer which pissed me off. “You're not death do answer me now” i yelled. They jumped and then nodded. I looked at them with disgust “i can’t believe you to would think something like that about your own brother he is no monster the thing inside him is” i yelled. Kankuro glared at me “you haven’t seen the things he has done he can’t control himself he is unstable he is dangerous” kankuro yelled back. “Well if he had some support from his family maybe he would be more calm but no you guys are like everyone else you're disgusting you guys are supposed to be there for him the most not running away like cowards you know what gaara isn’t the monster here you guys and everyone who has ever hurt gaara is now if you excuse me i have a best friend who needs me because his family isn’t ever going to help him get out of this darkness” i said stomping out of the house. ‘ can’t believe those bastards’ i thought to myself as i kicked the sand. I started to head to the park down the street and looking as a father daughter pair walked pass smiling and laughing i sighed ‘i miss you daddy i can’t wait to see you again’ i thought as i arrived at the park when i walked into the park i noticed a group of kids circling around something so i went to check it out. I pushed myself to the front of the crowd to notice gaara standing there crying i ran to him and hugged him. “Gaara what happened are you okay” i asked worried. He seemed shocked for a minute but hid behind me scared. “Ghost” he said. I smiled at him “of course” i said “hey get away from him he’s a monster” a kid said making me turn towards him and glared at him “monster who gaara” i said. The whole group nodded “yeah he will kill you” a girl said. And that’s when i snapped my aroma became darker and my voice was menacing “gaara is no monster you guys are the monsters you pick on an innocent child who did nothing wrong he wouldn't kill anyone unless they tried to kill him first so the next person i hear calling gaara a monster i will personally kick your ass” i said to the group. “Takes a monster to know a monster” i heard a boy say. In a blink of an eye i was in front of him i punched him in the face then kicked him into the tree behind me while throwing kunai at him and pinning him into a tree. I walked over to him and held a kunai against his neck “now would you like to repeat that” i asked him glaring and pushing the kunai harder against him. “N-n-no i-im sorry p-please d-d-dont kill me im s-sorry” he said. I sliced the side of his arm drawing blood and letting him go he screamed in pain which i didn’t care he deserves to feel more than that but i won’t kill him this time “now outta my face next i see you near gaara you're dead you hear me that goes for all of you now get outta my face before i change my damn mind” i said they all ran off terrified. After they were gone i walked up to gaara and out my hand on his shoulder “gaara you okay” i asked. He nodded and wiped his tears “i’m fine thank you ghost you didn’t have to do that” he said. I laughed “yes i did it’s my job as you're best friend to make sure nothing happens to you got it” i said. He nodded “anyway we still have to spend the day together lets play here i don't think anyone will come back here today” i said. He smiled and nodded “okay” he said. He said as we were walking to the swings but gaara stopped. “Ghost will you ever leave me like everyone else who said they cared but really didn't” he asked. I smiled “i promise you i will never leave you no matter what happens and if we get forced apart i promise i won't stop until i find you again because we are friends best friends and i would die for you so from today and until i die i swear to you i will never leave you as you're best friend as you're brother” i said smiling at him. He looked shocked at my speech but smiled and nodded “thank you ghost and i promise to have more self control” he said. I nodded “that’s a deal” i said. “Deal” he said. “Okay now lets play” i said dragging him to the swings and we started playing and it was a blast i don't need anyone but daddy gaara and uncle sasuke even though i haven't met him yet.
