Everybody has a war; but not necessarily all are warriors; some are goners, runners and losers.

Crescent High was buzzing with excitement and nervousness coursed through each one's demeanor present there.

Curiosity creeping up every person's neck who has been on campus.

And soon enough, a metallic gray car came in view; specifically silver matted one, stopping in the parking lot. All eyes turned to the new vehicle that had never made an appearance in the parking lot. Anticipation coursed through each nerve present in there.

The school hadn't always been running out of staff; it was rare. But only this time did it happen.

A lady, in elegance stepped out of the car, wearing no smile, only a pair of spectacles covering her eyes and her jet black hair being swayed by the wind.

Ever since the previous history professor Zayn Malik had quit and crossed the state for better opportunities in his career, the school had been in a frenzy. It was uncalled for; so sudden nobody ever expected it.

So, somehow the principal had managed to get another teacher who could handle the rowdiness of the students.

However her honey brown orbs wandered around to take in the beautiful building where she was ought to be working. Sure enough she had seen the building before but today it looked more serene; more lively. Probably because she was going to be a part of the school too.

Sighing out, she locked the car and walked in with nervousness that didn't manage to show itself to the foreigners through the thick walls.

However, anybody who got a look at her, stopped dead in their tracks to get a better view of her; to make sure that she was real and not some fallen angel.

She was real enough and somehow her mind had managed to convince her that the people thought she wasn't either classified enough or they were silently judging her.

Probably she shouldn't have put on the lipstick that she had been struggling in her mind. She knew it wouldn't suit her; but she had gone out of her way in hopes to put up a real good façade; a confident one.

But now, everything was diminishing slowly as more and more people stopped in their tracks to just have a look at her.

Her anxiety was getting the best of her and she didn't want it to. She wasn't going to let it rear its ugly head.

She knocked on the familiar rich looking mahogany doors.

Her knocks were faint and she knew it had to be utter silent if anyone picked up on her knocks.

"Come in", the familiar voice said and she did.

"Good morning, sir", she faintly said shifting from one feet to another.

She was suddenly questioning her white shirt and black pencil skirt.

She had wanted to look professional. And she thought probably this is what getting her the unwanted attention.

She had gone out of her way to make an effort and it ended up here. She couldn't help but think that she was looking like a clown in her outfit for she thought that her choices were the worst and she didn't have a single ounce of fashion sense. If only she had told Amber.

Weird, she used to think of herself and why she did was never known to anyone.

"Hello Delilah. I hope you try your best here", the principal said with an expectant smile and she couldn't help but give a small smile.

It was getting hard for her to even get up from her bed to get food for herself; settling on either take outs or starving herself for the night.

If the principal hadn't reached out for her, offered her the job and forced her to join on Monday sharp at 8.00 AM, she didn't think she would be doing anything worthy in her bed rolling around the blankets.
