Waking up regularly with a schedule hadn't been Delilah's best forte. Therefore, when the alarm on her phone went off, she had an urge to break it into pieces until realization had hit hard and she remembered she had somewhere to go to.
Seeing Amber stir in her sleep, Delilah had known she didn't want to wake the poor lady up.
Watching movies after movies, the lady had fallen asleep at some 2 AM, while Delilah had gotten up from her seat and went in to finish her pending tasks.
She tried to complete her job as stealthily as possible, so that she didn't wake the poor, tired lady up.
Before leaving she made sure that she left a note on the table for Amber when she woke up.
Revving the car to life, she set off for the new workplace.
Due to the downpour last night, it had been a bit dull weather; kind of lazy... and she had wanted nothing more than to cover herself up and sleep the day in.
Teachers and students alike, would never want to go to a monstrous complex of a certain academy to study. Not that she looked forward to work with Mr. Harry Styles.
She could talk about quitting to Mr. Davis over the weekend before or after her date with one of the guys Amber had set her up with.
She knew Amber had been trying too hard to make Delilah's life a little easier; to have Delilah be free and happy again.
But, Delilah was just being stubborn and hard upon herself, without knowing about it.
It was one of Delilah's character trait.
She never knew what she was feeling until and unless she was told about it to her face loud and clear.
Anyways, the twenty minutes drive hadn't caused her any trouble; not any countable ones.
When the metal gates came into her view, she reduced her speed and moved to the parking lot.
After parking her car, she had moved to the entrance of the campus where she saw the familiar mop of curls leant down on the ground, probably tying his shoe laces.
The familiar body looked so heavenly to Delilah that tears started pricking at her waterline.
He hadn't changed much; the only change had been the change in his stature. He had grown muscular and the green in his eyes had been more prominent than the black cloudy rings.
Being new to the campus, she hadn't known of any other way to her class on the second floor.
Therefore, she took the path, passing by him.
"Don't you have the decency to at least turn around and wish your co-worker a good morning, Miss Delilah?", hearing her name roll off his tongue smoothly, did something to the ends of her stomach and it felt like it could flutter open.
His black shirt tucked in and black trousers, contradicting his milky figure, helped her heart flutter more, only if that was possible.
"Good morning, Mr. Styles", the formality in her tone did little to nothing in filling the gaps of himself. His heart just clenched more with this feeling, that he thought he had succumbed to.
He felt like a stranger, when they definitely had been more than just strangers in the past. Way more than strangers.
Strangers would never feel comfortable in silence while looking at the scattered stars, the gap in their ears being filled with the classic 'WESTLIFE' tracks, bringing in peace to the empty field where little to no person could be spotted.
