"Oh, there you are. Let's hurry, I don't want to waste any time." Edgar grabbed Luca's hand and immediately pulled him out of the library the moment he arrived. It was quick.

"No 'hello' or anythin'?" Luca grinned as he sneakily tried to tighten his grip on Edgar's hand.

His hand was soft, and it felt so nice to hold. Something he wouldn't mind holding onto forever... In fact, it didn't seem like such a bad idea.

"Hello, Luca." Edgar slowed down his pace so the other could catch up, and they could walk side by side.

"Aw, what happen' to LuLu?" Luca's grin stayed put. In all honesty, he wanted to see Edgar all flushed and nervous again. It was cute...

"Gone."

"Oh."

Walking side by side, they left the school and headed across the street. Neither of them talked, knowing that the silence was comforting for the both of them.

"By the way, I brought my wallet. I can pay!" Luca smiled as he adjusted his backpack as they entered the café. There weren't too many people there, yet it seemed so crowded.

"Don't worry about it. I've got my wallet as well." Edgar replied as he sat down. Luca sat across from the other, putting his bag beside him.

"Soooo... How was your day?" Luca asks after about a moment of silence.

"It was fine. I got a good grade thanks to your help on that assignment." Edgar cracks the most unnoticeable smile known to man. He's not one to openly show his emotions anyway.
"And yourself?"

"I'm glad I could help! And my day was... actually kinda cool! I learned a new way to charge a phone without an outlet!" Luca seemed excited to share his experience. Edgar, knowing Luca was a very passionate boy, leaned in a bit. "Well, how?"

"You stick the charger in a potato!"

"Ah."

"Also, I found out a way to generate a new electricity. And how to fix complicated wirin'... Oh, and I know how to turn on a light with liquid!" Luca begins to ramble on about his new discoveries. "I have a whole notebook filled with all sorts'a scientific discoveries and even ideas for new inventions I could make in the future!"

"That's... Genuinely impressive. You must be a genius." Edgar was honestly intrigued. A seventeen year old boy could potentially make a life changing experiment.

"Wish I was, if I didn't have such shitty memory. Oh... What if I created a way to remember everythin'? I could remember what it was like in the womb!"

"Heh, okay, slow down a bit." Edgar made his smile a little more visible, unknowingly. Luca rambling was something enjoyable to him.

"Ohh, I'm sorry. I got caught up'n my ideas again." Luca grew a faint blush and his smile turned nervous.

"No, don't worry about it." Edgar said, as a waitress walked up to them with a smile.

"Hello, gentlemen! Thank you for coming. Is there anything I could get you to drink, or have you maybe chosen your order already?" The waitress smiled, and held her small notebook.

"I'll take some tea." Edgar's smile faded.

"Can I get a slushie?" Luca chimed in. "The blue one?"

"Of course! I'll be right back in a moment." The waitress nodded, hurrying to the back.

"A slushie? What's that?" Edgar asked. Luca's never been more surprised.

"You don't know what a slushie is?!" Luca's mouth practically dropped. Edgar looked away for a moment, before slowly shaking his head.

"Oh, no way! You've gotta try it! I don't know how to describe it, but it's awesome!" Luca's face lights up in response. "It's cold and icy, but it tastes so good!"

"Alright then, I'll try it." Edgar allows his smile to grow again.

Soon enough, they ordered their food. Both shared a few muffins, honey buns, and cookies. They were very well made and the both of them enjoyed their time there.

"Mm, here!" Luca gently slides his slushie across the table for Edgar to taste. Speaking no words, Edgar picked it up.

"Ah, no, it's too cold!" Edgar was shocked by the freeze of the drink. "It doesn't fit with the meal at all, either." He attempted to warm his mouth by drinking a bit of tea.

"Aww, come on! It's not that cold!" Luca giggles at the other's actions.

"By the way... Uh, yesterday... When you kissed me, does that mean you like me? Or was it just a thank you?" Luca quiets down, his heart beating a bit quickly. Edgar looked a bit surprised.

"Are you really so dense? I kissed you and asked you out, just because you did my homework? Idiocy can be so adorable. Yes, I like you." Edgar blushed and smiled.

"Honestly? Really? You... Eheh..." Luca hid in his hoodie. He was a little embarrassed not knowing the signs, but he was happy with the clarification.

"Here, I'll pay, and you can walk me home. You wouldn't mind, would you?" Edgar pulls out his wallet, and places down a hundred dollar bill.

"Oh, I wouldn't mind- Eddie! That's a lot! I brought my wallet, let me pay!" Luca frantically took out his wallet as well and tried to push the hundred back to Edgar.

"No no, you're fine. I've got more to spend anyways." Edgar forcefully placed down the hundred dollar bill again, and pulled Luca up before he could fight back.

"If you say so..." Luca held his hand, gently squeezing it and holding it carefully.

"Are we a thing now?" Luca turns to look at Edgar as they're leaving.

"I'd say so. Unless you don't want to." Edgar responds as he opens the door.

They're both greeted with a thunderstorm. The weather suddenly changed rapidly, and it was extremely unusual.

"Oh, Eddie, you can have my hoodie!" Luca immediately pulled off the hoodie to reveal a gay pride shirt. Wonderful!

"Hm? Oh, thank you. That's come in handy, I didn't bring an umbrella. Are you sure you don't mind getting wet though?" Edgar puts on the hoodie and lifts it over his head, blocking the rain from touching him as best as possible.

"Eh, I don't mind! I can just shake it off and redo it when I get home." Luca replies, continuing to hold Edgar's hand gently as they walked down the street. He truly never wanted to let go.

"Okay then." Edgar smiles. He felt so happy, an emotion that was never really exposed to him. Despite hating rain, it was comforting when you walk through it with your favorite person in existence. The calming pitter patter of the raindrops and the gray sky...

"Luca, I love you..." Edgar walks closer to Luca, letting go of his hand and wrapping his arm around his.

"Aw, I love you too Eddie! You're so sweet." Luca allows his arm to be wrapped around as they continue walking in peace.

Once they finally reached Edgar's house, they unlinked arms, yet it seemed so hard.

"Ah, this isn't fair... I don't want to go inside yet." Edgar pouts, slightly snuggling into Luca's hoodie. The other smiled.

"I don't want ya to go in either... How about we play in the rain?" Luca smiled greatly, pulling Edgar down to a park that was close by.

"Of course."
