“Y/N, I have something to tell you.” Cheol said holding your hand.
Suddenly, you accidentally drop your spoon. You have this feeling that you know what he's talking about.
“O-Oh, sorry. The spoon slipped on my hand. I'll get another one.” You're about to stand up when he didn't let go of your hand. You averted your eyes.
“Y/N, forget about the spoon. I need to tell you this. I want us to–”
“Cheol, I want to visit 'that' place.” You sad, changing the topic.
You don't want to hear what he's going to say. Because you know, you know that Cheol finally made up his mind. Cheol finally decided to end things between you and him. Cheol chose her over you...
“But–”
“Please?” You said biting your lower lip because you feel that your tears will fall anytime.
Cheol nodded and hug you tight. He patted your head then kissed you on your forehead.
You both know that this is the end. The end where your hearts chose to separate from each other.
Both of you got off of the car. The refreshing wind and the smell of leaves welcome you. You smiled.
Your attention was caught by Seungcheol when he suddenly hold your hands and smiled at you so you smiled back.
“Let's go? I've got the blanket and food. I'm sure, he'll be happy to see us both.” Cheol said.
You wanted to cry. You wanted to burst all the tears and pain you're feeling right now. You want to ask the heaven 'why, why They let them meet and love each other if they will end up breaking each other's heart?'
Both of you sat on a blanket and put down the boquet of flowers. You two were sitting side by side in front of him.
“Dino, baby, we're here again.” You said and smile to your son–Your son's grave.
“Mom and Dad decided to visit you today. How are you, my Angel?” Cheol said as he grip your hand.
“Mommy... and Daddy... will stop visiting you together anymore–” You can't control your feelings anymore and burst out into tears.
Cheol looked at you, surprised, but then he averted his eyes. His heart was hurting too but he had no choice because he doesn't love you anymore. He want to wipe your tears but he... can't. All he can do was hold your hand and listen to your sobs.
“So you know...” Cheol asked feeling guilty.
You just nodded because you can't speak.
Even though you want to be mad, your love for Seungcheol weights more. You love him so much that you chose to let go first.
“Y/N, I'm sorry. I... fell out of love, Y/N.” Cheol said gulping because he also wanted to cry. He wanted to cry because it's hurting him when seeing you hurt because of him.
“I-I know.” You wiped your tears and then smile again. You look at your hands and loosen your grip on him.
“Y/N...” His eyes widen when you did that but then he stayed quiet.
“Thank you, Cheol. Thank you for your love and memories. I want you to be happy.” You paused and heave a deep sigh and then smile again but your tears keep on flowing from your eyes. You both stood up and remove your wedding ring. The wedding ring that was once a symbol of your love for each other.
“Y/N... I–”
“Cheol, I love you. I love you so much that I want to protect your smile and chose your happiness over mine. Take care of yourself.” You said while crying. You held his hand and tiptoed to give him a farewell kiss.
Seungcheol was dumbfounded and hurt. He can't speak because something's blocking his throat.
“N-No–” Cheol whispered.
You started to walk away with tears flowing from your eyes.
“Y/N!” He yelled. He wanted to run but he can't. He wanted to stop the time and hug you for the last time but he can't. He can't move his feet.
You paused and turned around to look at him with a smile on your lips. “Farewell, my love. I love you.”
