Eddie had rushed off from Richies home, he couldn't process his emotions or the news he had just received. He knew it was rather early to be leaving his dearest friends' house but he couldn't contain his emotions. He ran out of the home and started rushing back home, fiddling on with his hands as he would occasionally look around at his surroundings. It was already July 15th and he knew that Richie would obviously be moving quickly. He didn't want to watch as his life had drained without Richie, the two were inseparable the day they met but now it just felt like he felt himself fall into a pit of emptiness.

His slightly calloused hands had turned the knob to his home, he stood at his porch before he had turned the knob in hesitation and entered in. He walked up the stairs in a quick motion, decided he wouldn't greet his mother who was downstairs in the living room as per usual. He slid his hands upon the small railings of the stairs and his room was the closest towards the stairs, so when he turned to the right he had just quickly opened the door and shut it. The air slightly being pulled in as he shut the door, he looked at his dimly lit up room, the dust being visible from the light of the sun coming in through his blinds. He looked around his room, everything seemingly useless before he had just slid his back along the door and sat down, pulling up his knees to his chest.

Eddie was only acting this way due to the fact he was scared of losing his best friend, his love interest since god knows when, and his go-to person when he needed anything. Eddie was always a bit rough or slightly but aggressive towards Richie when he had made those jokes about his mom or did anything that would aggravate him. He never got to admit his true feelings for richie, he was terrified of telling him because of how Bowers had tormented and teased them, calling them a bunch of names and sometimes even harming them. He didn't want Richie to be scared or upset with Eddie if he had told him how he felt—for gods sake, Richie and Eddie were best friends and Eddie didn't want to ruin that.

He remembered the exact day they met, quite vividly. He remembered the day he had just gotten to school, at that moment he was in Second Grade, being friends with Bill Denbrough and Stanley Uris. Eddie Kaspbrak didn't get along with too many people because he was taught that he had a sickness and that he couldn't get any germs by people or it would worsen. He remembered when Richie had changed to his classroom and they were all in the middle of drawing and doing hobbies. Eddie felt his presence as he had felt some light air pass by him, he didn't want to become friends with Richie due to the fact he looked unorganized and seemingly chaotic. He watched as Richie had took a seat by Eddie and started to poke at him, trying to get him to laugh and get him to crack! It worked and the two had become close, he would usually be annoyed by Richie but he honestly enjoyed his company. He remembered the days where Richie would possibly end up being harmed by Bowers or by riding his bicycle and end up bruised—that stupid smug grin of his never seemed to go away whenever Eddie would clean his cuts and bruises, trying to disinfect them.

Richie almost broke his glasses the day he was about to get in a heated dispute with once of Henrys' goons, Eddie was the one to try snd help richie get his glasses fixed—although his mother always thought of Richie as a distraction, a bad influence, or worse. Eddie snapped back to reality as he looked around his room, slightly cold tears ran down at his cold pink tinted cheeks. He used his hand to wipe away any of the wet tears at his cheeks, soon standing up and going towards his closet, he opened the door—only to shuffle around some boxes and clothes to grab a comic him and Richie both loved. He got the dust off of it, completely forgetting about the fact that Eddie worked hard enough to try and get this comic to work. He had it, just in case any of them would move—so he flipped through the rough and fatigued pages; looking through all the clues he left for richie to try and discover before he had to move. He looked through all of them before he had to look through a small box which contained the last clue, a tape, in which Eddie had to go to the library and use the tape recorders there and record what would sum up what he had been deeply meaning to tell Richie for the longest time now. He remembered the close words he said during throughout the tape and the time limit for it was an hour, so he had used his time wisely and the entire tape itself was around 44 minutes if he remembered well.

"Hey! Richie! You're probably confused why You had to go through all this trouble to try and find these clues to my secret! I know—weird, I'm only doing this because I don't..want you to go and end up forgetting about our memories," he became silent for a split second before speaking again "or even me..anyways, if either of us move then this will be the reason as to why you're listening to this." He hesitated for a moment "remember the day we went to the arcade and you ended up screaming at the cashier because there were no more coins you could use to play street fighter and they didn't allow you to come into the arcade for at least a week? I remember that one time where we went to go to the quarry and you got bit by some stupid turtle, you got scared it was some leech and you ended up never going into the water after that, I specifically remember—when you invited me to hangout at your house and we had read comics all day, I ended up falling asleep right next to you..." he became silent and the tape became a long wait. "Richie. If either of us move, I'm sorry, we're gonna meet again one day—I hope, anyways, the reason I made you go through all that is because—I've been meaning to say something for the longest time," he had taken a deep breath and spoke quickly before the time had run out "Richie fucking TrashMouth tozier, I really like you and I've liked you since the 4th grade—" he listened as the alarm silently rung and had started to process out the tape.

Eddie was filled with happiness yet a bunch of upsetting emotions from trying to remember all their memories and such as that. He set the things into a separate box and hid it well.
