"When we switch shifts I'm gonna go back and make dinner, there's a party tonight and some of my classmates want me to go with them so I can get to know the campus better." Fezco and I stood by the register taking inventory for the store. It was opening so he would leave once we're done. "I thought you gave party life up?" I rolled my eyes. "I did, but I can't miss an opportunity to get dressed up."
"I don't think you should go, just because I won't be with you." I sighed. "You're always with me, Fez. We've barely left each others sight since we first got together." He shrugged in response. "Because I wanna make sure you're okay at all times." I opened my arms to which he walked over, standing between my legs. "I'll be fine, I promise."

"The campus is bigger than I thought it was." Of a few of my classmates decided to walk to the party with me, they all live on campus so I had Fez drop me off. "So, Domonique-"
"Call me Dutchess, I don't usually go by my first name. There's only a few people I let call me it." The girl nodded her head in understanding. "Dutchess, tell us about yourself. You're obvious hella smart given the fact you graduated at seventeen and got offers from all the best schools, and you totally owned Mr.Marks yesterday during class."
"He's an asshole, I was simply doing the lords work." They all laughed. "You're like super chill, we all thought you'd be stuck up as hell." Ouch? I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or beat her ass. "That her way of giving you a compliment, you're super pretty, my names Daniel." Obviously gay. I could use a break defaults. "Daniel is our resident queer, everyone knows him and he knows everybody. He's like our spirit animal."
"Daniel sounds like someone I want to be my Childs uncle, bless my kids when I get pregnant so they come out as gay and don't have to go through what mommy does with their dad." They all chuckled as we got to the frat house. "I can already spell the toxic masculinity," We walked in, immediately going to the kitchen to get drinks.
"Yo is this the new girl? We've got fresh meat!" Everyone started chanting, making my brows furrow in confusion. Two boys walked over and picked me up, sitting me on their shoulders. "Tell us freshman, what's your business here? Are you the feds?" I scoffed, pulling out the blunts I had in my bag. "Would the feds have these?" They all cheered as the boys sat me down, handing me shots. "The freshman is cool after all."
"We told you! Dutchess, this is Dominic, Alex, and Carson. Our resident assholes," I gave them a small smile, why do I have to be so socially awkward right now? I've been away from people my own age for so long that I've forgotten how to function around them. "So freshman, tell us about yourself."
"My GPA speaks volumes, what else is there to know?" One of them rolled their eyes, sitting themself on the counter. "We mean the actual you."
"I have a sister that I've been raising for almost my whole life, I'm basically a fucking parent. Never really had a childhood, I sell drugs, and I have a drug dealer boyfriend. Happy?" They looked at each other when I said boyfriend. Weird. "Well, it's time you put your maternal instincts aside tonight and party!" They dragged me outside where there were several kegs.
"You're asking the wrong person to do this, I'll completely destroy you in a drink off." Dominic raised his eyebrows, seemingly amused. "Is that right? Because I like to think of myself as the best, I'm practically undefeated." I raised my eyebrows in return. "Flip me over boys."
