Lieutenant Colonel Chaplin, the new leader of the task force, had one of the best reputations as a commander and as a brigand. All of the companies that he has controlled, hated him. His task force was assigned to the research team as a replacement. Much of his contingent was tasked on protecting the research and not the researcher, by personal order of Chaplin.
After the hiatus on the research, the government has become very impatient and demands results within 3 years, by 2756. Dr. Megan Robb resumed her research at the end of the the year, in January 2754.
1 Year later
The tensions between Chaplin and the research team have become uncontrollable because of the year before. Chaplin requested the post to try and get close to Dr. Robb after the death of Ethan, Dr. Robb loathed him for it and even tried to get him transferred, unsuccessfully.
The prototype is close to being finished. Some rebel factions on the earth have formed an alliance with a remaining faction of the aliens on Pullomia, the formation was known as, "The Alliance". Much of their forces are on a secret operating base on Earth.
They have access to plasma and laser rifles but no armour. Their plasma rifles are very slow firing weapons but pack a punch, on the contrary, laser rifles have a high firing rate but will not kill a person with one shot.
Their goal is to destroy the present government and their ideals, and establish a new world order. An order that benefits the aliens from Pullomia and will destroy the human race.
