A month went by and Tommy was dealing with Grace and the new business, so he wasn't really around to be there for Charlotte. He wanted to, but Grace was not letting up. Michael and Finn were always hanging out with Charlotte, so they all got close. She really grew closer with everyone, but the one that really mattered. Her and Michael were the closest and it's because of her relationship with Polly. Polly really stepped in and acted like a mother figure. Charlotte was also creating a maternity line. It was her new work project that she kept busy with. She was sitting at her bar as she worked when Michael came in.
"What's new?" He said as he sat down beside her.
She showed him her new drawings and he smiled.
"These are incredible, Charlotte."
"So you think pregnant women will wear them?" She laughed.
"If they want to be stylish...then yes. These are beautiful."
"Thank you, Michael." She smiled.
"I'm meeting with someone tomorrow that can start making these. Do you want to come...never mind you have to come because of Tommy's orders." She laughed.
"Well I want to come anyway."
They smiled and then Finn walked in.
"I know you two aren't hanging out without me."
"Oh we would never." Charlotte said as her and Michael shared a look.
Finn walked over and put his arm over Charlotte's shoulder as he looked at what she was working on.
"These look great, Char."
"Thank you."
"So are you guys excited for Arthur's wedding tonight?" She asked.
"A wedding with no drinking and smoking...sure I can't wait." Michael said.
"Welcome to my world." Charlotte said.
They both looked at her.
"Well I'm excited to meet Linda. You guys met her right?" She asked.
They both groaned.
"She's so mean." Finn said.
"And boring." Michael added.
"Oh come on guys...she can't be that bad."
They both gave her a look.
"The word fun isn't in her dictionary." Finn said.
"Well that's because the only book she's ever read is the Bible." Michael said and everyone laughed.
"But I mean it's Arthur...I'm sure there will be some type of fun." She said.
Both of the boys laughed.
"She has him by the balls and I don't know why he's changing for her when he's not getting any." Finn said.
"Because he loves her." Charlotte said.
Finn rolled his eyes.
"Waiting until marriage is dumb. What if you get married and then you undress your girl and bam you don't like what you see?" He said.
Charlotte laughed and shook her head.
"Love makes people do crazy things, Finn." She said.
"Well I'll never understand them."
"That's because you've never loved." Michael said.
"And you have?" Finn asked.
Michael shrugged his shoulders.
"I'm only 18 but I understand the concept." He said.
She shook her head and then looked at the clock.
"I guess it's time for me to start getting ready." She said as she stood up.
"Why did you say it like that?" Finn asked.
"I don't know. I'm just not used to my body looking like this. Just kind of insecure...I just feel like I weigh 1000 pounds."
Michael picked Charlotte up bridal style and looked at her.
"You are not 1000 pounds." He said.
"Let me see."
Finn got Charlotte and acted like she was too heavy and she hit him. He laughed and held her easily.
"What is with you Shelby men and picking me up?" She laughed.
Finn spun her around.
"Because you're little and cute."
She got him to put her down as he laughed.
"I will see you guys later." She laughed as she walked to her bedroom.
A while later she came out ready.
