Chapter 152: Everything I miss is related to you

“Shengsheng.”

“Huh?” He inexplicably called out to her again, and for some reason, Liu Yusheng became even more nervous.

Then she inched a little closer. With clear, teary eyes, she looked at him quizzically.

She herself had never noticed that under any circumstances, she had never fared away from him.

Her trust and reliance on him was far greater than she could have imagined, beyond her preconceptions.

Unknowingly, no matter what happened, no matter what emotion, she just wanted to move closer to him.

Feng Qingbai smiled, the corner of his lips shallowly curved, pleasingly affectionate.

“I said I missed the Lius because you’re there.”

“I said I miss Xinghua Village also because you’re there.”

Liu Yusheng’s heart was pounding. Her eyes flickered, and she had this inkling suspicion that there was something else in his words. Something that left her at a loss for words.

She should have stopped him. She should have called him off immediately, but she couldn’t even make a sound.

She also forgot that she could step back.

“Shengsheng, everything I miss is related to you.”

“The kind of miss that burrows deeper the longer time passes, and every day when I think about you, I feel like going crazy.”

“I can’t go back. I thought you were so young back then, and you’d slowly forget me over time. I comforted myself that you’ll still be happy without me. But, honestly, I’m scared – scared that you’d really forget about me.”

“For nine years, I was tormented every day of my life.”

Boom! Something exploded in her brain.

Liu Yusheng’s head went blank and something suddenly clutched her heart tightly.

His confession, one sentence at a time, came without warning, so unexpectedly, that she couldn’t cope at all.

All that was left in her ears, except for his crisp, deep voice, was her racing, throbbing heartbeat.

She couldn’t breathe.

The man gently touched her cheek with his somewhat cool hand.

He said, “Shengsheng, now I want to hug you. Can I?”

Her acupuncture points seemed struck, and she was unable to move.

She could only stare blankly at him.

She watched him reach out and embrace her stiff in his arms.

His breath was clearly refreshing with a light fragrance, but also a gentleness she found irresistible.

He enveloped her whole figure.

She could even clearly hear the heartbeat in his chest, which was more urgent and chaotic than hers.

Liu Yusheng panicked and wanted to say something, but she realized she couldn’t. She only knew that she was very nervous, and she wanted to say something.

All she knew was that she was nervous, and even her breathing was tense.

But the whole time, she never thought to say no.

She had never been in love before, had no experience, but she knew exactly what he meant.

He was confessing to her.

“You didn’t say no,” he lowered his head and whispered.

“Feng Qingbai!” The embarrassment of being seen through caused her to blurt out with her long lost voice in shame.

But the sound of that voice clearly wasn’t rebuking. It was assuredly coquettish!

It was also with this coquettish scolding that the arms around her immediately tightened.

Liu Yusheng’s pupils flared and the world went blank.

She felt too weak to resist, too weak to move.

The lantern next to them emitted a fluorescent halo – faint and extra soft – laying a layer of glow for the embracing couple. It quietly witnessed the scenery of the man and woman’s romantic affair and gave them a beautiful background.

Liu Yusheng felt that the air was getting thinner and thinner.

When she was about to suffocate, she weakly punched him on the chest and uttered a wimpy protest.

He reluctantly let her go, but didn’t stay away.

Liu Yusheng’s eyes were hazy, and for a moment, she was at sea on how to deal with him and break the atmosphere that made her want to bury herself underground.

“You’re shy, Shengsheng,” he said hoarsely, which sounded to her like detestably gratified.

“Shut up!” That voice trailed off so softly that it didn’t sound like she said it herself.

Liu Yusheng’s face burst into flames again.

“You! You me go! I’m going back to sleep!”

Embarrassed to death, Liu Yusheng was so annoyed that she punched him and shoved him away.

He didn’t say a word and just hugged her without letting go.

It was only when she got tired and powerless that he leaned against her ear and whispered softly.

“You can’t escape anymore, Shengsheng.”

She could not see the imperative in his eyes, but the sound of his voice made her shudder for no reason.

And yet, the slightest thought of running away never struck her.

She knew that she was done for.

The moonlit night was serene, and she fell silent while he too held onto his silence for a moment.

“Shengsheng.”

“…” Can you hold your tongue at a time like this?

“I’ve branded you.”

“…”

“You’re mine from now on. Even in death, you will only be mine.”

“…” What the hell! Damn pervert!

Liu Yusheng has never been in a relationship, but she was pretty sure this was definitely the first person to tell her what to do right after confessing.

“So, don’t tempt anyone but me.”
