After a couple more days of hiding out, it was decided that the rival gangs and the police had let down their guard enough for them to continue their drug mission.

They really had to make up for lost time, as their stash of drugs was growing stale, and their money was running low.

Minho called down Jeongin and Hyunjin to run their stash of drugs. He'd specifically assigned the two together, hoping that it would help them to become closer, and was glad that they didn't question the atypical pairing. The leader smirked to himself. Maybe they didn't say anything because they didn't want to draw attention to their relationship.

"Where's Chan?" Jeongin asked.

"He's busy," the oldest in the room said shortly, evading the question. He had an idea of what Chan was busy with, but didn't want to expose him. "He'll be going on the next missions," Minho added, trying not to sound suspicious.

Minho explained that they would be meeting up with the leader of Venom, Kevin and Eric. Hyunjin was relieved that this wasn't the gang that Jeongin was passing information to

They didn't speak as they left through the back door with packets of unnamed substances lining their jackets, wrapping their arms around themselves to keep the drugs from flapping open.

"Shit, where are we?"

Jeongin knew he should be helping, but he could help but ogle Hyunjin, who was running his hands back through his hair as he looked around for landmarks. There was a small trickle of sweat making its way down his neck.

He looked so goddamn sexy.

"Fuck," Hyunjin suddenly hissed.

The exclamation pulled Jeongin from his fantasies. Hyunjin grabbed his shoulder and pulled Jeongin back behind the nearest building before they were spotted by police officers.

Jeongin tried not to give in to his fear, but he could feel himself growing small. He crouched down and the older boy followed suit. The police were supposed to have given up on meeting their quotas by now. They were probably on the lookout for anyone they could grab, and the two had fallen right into their hands. Jeongin shuddered.

Hyunjin looked at the boy with concern. He looked at Jeongin's wide eyes and resisted the urge to pull him in and kiss his fear away.

But he shook off the feeling. This wasn't the time. He didn't want their first kiss to be during a drug run, though that was an activity that they spent quite a bit of time doing.

"We're just going to have to wait it out for a bit," Hyunjin whispered reassuringly.

"Can you distract me?" Jeongin asked in a small voice, so Hyunjin quickly conjured up their most frequently discussed topic. They talked about what they wanted their futures to look like. They both wanted to be teachers, Jeongin focusing on the kids, and Hyunjin focusing on the curriculum, specifically languages.

It remained unsaid, but they both know it would never happen. Who'd heard of tatted-up gang members getting college degrees? And even if other people had, they knew that they'd never have the money for it. That they'd never fit in.

But looking at Hyunjin's eyes, bright in moonlight, full of wonder and eagerness for this barely-within-reach future, Jeongin felt a wave of emotion pass over him.

He loved Hyunjin so much and wanted the best for him. Being around him made him feel hope for the future, more than he thought was possible. He felt an urge to wrap his arms around Hyunjin and stay like that forever.

The older scrambled up and chanced a glance around the side of the building, before motioning for Jeongin to follow him. They both jogged to a nearby parking lot, only visible by flickering streetlights.
