Ibuki had a sore throat, she assumed it was because she was singing too much and agitated her vocal cords, so she brushed it off. A few days later it was getting harder fkr her to swallow her food and breathe, she was getting worried and was about to tell Mikan. But she didnt want to worry the poor girl. She was stressed enough. Ibuki ignored it for a few more days, feeling more and more pain each day. It was hard for her not to choke up in her sleep too. She got really worried when Mikan was beginning to notice what's up.
"S-sweetheart?" Mikan asked, holding Ibuki's face. "Open y-your mouth o-o-ok?" She asked, Ibuki being nervous and confused just followed direction. "Oh no.. Its what I thought." The purple haired girl said, getting worried even more.
"What?" Ibuki asked, her voice being a little low and scrachy. "Your t-tonsils have gotten really big and sore, I-i think its time to remove them." Mikan replied, hugging her girlfriend. "I-if you want.. I could bring y-y-you to the hospital right now so I can do the surgery..." "N-no! I can live with this, its not a big deal Ibuki will be COUGH fine!" Ibuki coughed. Getting a huff from her nurse gf.
"I'm s-sorry but we need to go now, o-ther wise you'll suffocate in your sleep!"
"Fine." They got in the car and drove to the hospital. Ibuki got put under and woke up being able to talk normal again! Except her throat hurt still, her tongue felt weird, her nose hurt too and her voice was still scrachty. BUT- she can breathe so yayyy!!
A few days later they were home and Ibuki was eating ice cream, sad, not being able to sing in her band for two weeks, not being able to cough because she might bleed. Alone. Mikan came home with a bag.
"M-my dear, this is for you!" She presented the bag and gave it to her girlfriend.
