*Emily's POV*

I walk up to the door the same way that I have for the past few weeks. I raise my hand to knock, but before I do, the door swings open.

"Come on in Emily," Hotch says with a smile, "you look nice."

"Thank you. You look good too sir," I say as I step into the house.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me Mr. or Sir outside of school," he says with a laugh. Ever since (Y/N) told him that we were officially dating, he has become a much nicer Hotch than the one I knew from school. At this point, he has practically become my dad.

"So are you excited for the big day?" he asks as we both walk into the living room.

"Yeah, I am," I say as I sit down on the couch. "My mom didn't think that I was going to graduate, so at least I can prove her wrong about something."

He looks at me for a moment, something similar to pity in his eyes, but then he clears his throat and smiles.

"Well, I am glad that you are graduating. You know that you are really smart when you apply yourself." I blush a little, not used to getting compliments, especially not from adults. "I heard you got into Yale, that's exciting," he says as he reaches over to the coffee table and picks up his cup.

"Honestly I am just glad that (Y/N) and I are going to the same college," I say with a small smile as I think about the future. "How did you know I was going to Yale? Did (Y/N) tell you?"

"Well I am the principal," he says with a laugh, "I know where all of my top students are going, Just like I know that Spencer Reid got an academic scholarship to Caltech, and Derek Morgan got a full ride to Northwestern for football. Not sure how that is going to work though, them doing long distance."

I look up at him in amusement but also mostly in surprise.

"Do principals also know who in the school is dating?" I ask and he raises his eyebrows at me as he takes a sip out of the cup in his hand.

"Now that," he says as he puts his drink back down, "I actually learned from (Y/N). She likes to update me on her friends." He narrows his eyes and puts a finger on his chin as he thinks. "Apparently, Penelope Garcia and Luke Alvez are together, and Luke is headed to the Army. Jennifer is going to the University of Pittsburgh on a soccer scholarship, and Tara and Matt are both headed to Dartmouth. How did I do?"

"Wow," I say, "you really know your stuff."

"What can I say, I have a good memory," he lifts his wrist to look at his watch and a look of surprise reaches his face. "Woah look at the time, I should get going. (Y/N) is upstairs in her room, maybe you can help her get ready."

With that, he grabs his jacket and briefcase, and with a wave of his hand, he heads out of the door.

I stand up and head up the stairs. When I reach (Y/N)'s door, I knock lightly. I don't get a response, so I open the door and peek my head through.

*Reader's POV*

You hear a knock on your door and you assume that it is your dad again, telling you to hurry up. So you ignore it. But then you hear the handle turn and the door squeaks open.

"I told you th..." you start to say but when you turn towards the door, you see Emily standing there instead.

She looks so stunning with her hair and makeup done, that you freeze in your spot and stare at her in awe.
