It was Friday morning when Louis pushed through the front doors of the school. He was going to talk to the coach of his football team. Was this the best idea he ever had? Probably not. Was he going to do it anyways? Absolutely. Was this going to work? 100% not.

He didn't care though, he had to at least stand up for his friend in the slightest, even when it would have no affect on what had already happened.

So here he was rushing down the hallway, most likely getting strange looks from all of the other students. But he wasn't really paying attention to them, he had other things on his mind.

He reached the doors to the gym, swinging them open as he stepped inside, swerving to the right to enter the boy's locker room where the coach's office was located.

"Good morning Louis," Coach Hendricks greeted once Louis had rushed in.

"Yeah, yeah good morning," he rolled his eyes as he walked over to the front of the desk. "Why'd you take Niall out of Goalie? He's perfect at it, barely ever lets a goal in," Louis huffed, getting more annoyed.

Why wouldn't he be though? The coach took his best friend out of his spot and replaced him with a senior who had come in halfway through the season who didn't even play football! He was on the basketball team until the school decided to cut it due to pay-cuts (probably for the best, basketball sucked ass). And now he gets goalie? Niall has been playing goalie since the two were in the tiny league together, he loved it. Just like how Louis loved offence, he couldn't imagine if he was just pulled from his spot.

"Look, Niall's still on the team, just not goalie. I've seen him play defence, he's great, he'll do perfectly fine in his new position." The coach tried to calm Louis down, it didn't work.

"But you've replaced him with a senior who's never played a game before in his life other then in gym class. It makes no sense!" Louis was outraged.

"Harry came to me and asked for a spot on the team. His sport that he loves just got cut. You know how it feels to love the game you play," the coach explained, ignoring Louis' small fit he was making in his office. "So I gave him a chance," he shrugged, "I let him try out all the positions and he was great at goalie, if you were here last practice you could have seen."

"I've been excused from that practice for weeks, it's not my fault my family dragged me away for a trip," Louis got annoyed as he started to run his fingers through his hair in frustration.

"I know Louis, all I'm saying is that if you just had the chance to see him play I think you'd be more fine with the whole idea." The coach stood up from his chair, obviously Louis was starting to get on his nerves.

"What about Niall, do you think he's fine with this whole idea," Louis half mocked. "That's been his spot forever, we all knew his spot was guaranteed for all of high school, even you knew that, so why would you change your mind last minute?" Louis took a step back from the desk as the coach started to walk around towards the door.

"Things change Louis, I can't promise my athletes anything, Niall did have a spot, but Harry demonstrated how he could be great for the team, and that's what's important, the team's success as we grow and develop together, and that requires change." He explained once again. He cut a Louis off before he could protest, "I don't want to continue this conversation, I've told you my reason. Now please go to class," he instructed.

"Fine," Louis rolled his eyes, exiting through the door that the coach had opened for him. This was useless. It didn't help that he absolutely detested Harry. He was a cocky senior who obviously got his way with everything situation that he was presented with.

Louis pulled his books out of his locker and headed to his first class. Niall was in his first class so he plopped down next to him.

He had called Louis up last night after he got back from practice to tell him all about Harry taking his spot on the team. This must be doing wonders for Harry's ego.
