Deafening remix of songs reverberating the vast entirety of the bar, topped with different neon lights dancing along with the crowd. Haruto found the rhythm of the swaying mob amidst the blinding lights while tightening the hold of another soft hand on his right. He would turn his head to make sure his special companion is fine and he's holding him tight, afraid of losing him in the crowd. It's obvious for the other guy that their destination was the bar counter to grab some drinks.
Haruto nonchalantly ordered 2 shots of vodka from the bartender and immediately pierced his gaze on the other guy beside him, whose hand was still locked in his.
Since the party music was so loud, he leaned to his side and whispered his words on the other guy's ear. He was almost the same height as him though Haruto was just a couple inches taller.
"Hyung, you can get drunk but don't be wasted or Jinhwan-hyung will kill me." Haruto giggled on his words.
Their eyes met. The other guy just scoffed at him before responding – motioning his head even closer to whisper back. "I'm already feeling drunk by the lights and music."
Just in time, their shots came and Haruto handed the other tiny glass to his boyfriend. It was obvious that it was his boyfriend's first time being in such a place. But he wanted to celebrate his coming of age despite it being 3 years late already. After all, his boyfriend was already in his 22nd year.
"Cheers to you, Hyung."
The older one clinked his glass against Haruto's and mimicked the way he chugged the shot. Bitterness immediately blanketed the walls of his mouth and felt the burning sensation along with the liquid passing through his throat down to his stomach. He coughed a few times and the reaction on his face made Haruto laugh in satisfaction.
"Why is it so strong?" The other guy whined trying to wash his palate with the lemon, thinking at least that one was sour.
"You'll get used to it!" Haruto cheered for him but very gentle in patting his shoulder.
"I need to go to the men's room. I need to check my lenses. My eyes are already hurting with these lights."
"Do you want me to go with you?" Haruto casually sat on the highchair despite offering his boyfriend a chauffeur going to the men's room.
"I'm fine. I won't be long." Assured his partner.
His boyfriend flinched when Haruto carelessly grabbed one of his pants' pockets. "Okay, you have your phone with you."
The other guy hissed on the gesture but made him flashed a cute smile. He knew how extra caring and protective the younger could be to him. So, aside from the initial reaction, it wasn't really new to him anymore after being together for a year now.
