A loud bang comes from my door as I close the lid of my laptop and slowly get up, knowing if i rise up to fast i might fall asleep again. I make my way over to the door and crack it open a jar. The kind eyes of my mother greet me and I open the door fully to let her in. "How have you been today?" she asks sitting on my bed.
"I fell asleep a little while ago I think because i remember waking up with my head on my desk" I inform her quietly as I start my laptop up again. I feel my mother nod. Even though I can't see her I can always feel what she is doing. "That's good Nadia. Be careful now, I have left a plate of cookies and some milk by the door" she tells me softly before kissing my head and exiting my room.
the door bangs shut and I turn my head to the cookies. They just sit there calling me to come and eat them. I laugh to my self at the thourght of talking cookies and reach down to grab a hot chocolate chip one that rests on the top. I bite into the chewy, warm dough of the cookie and sigh in relaxation.
As I go to take another bite my laptop makes a small beep sound and a email pops up on the screen. Its a email from my best friend (She is also my younger cousin).

Subject: Play date
Hey Nadia! I was wondering if I could come round yours next week? My mum has talked to your and she says if you are okay with it its fine. Also my best guy friend Sam really wants to meet you. He's a year older then me so he's your age. So what do you say?

I smile happily to myself. A play date with Maria sounds great on its own but a boy who i have never met before can come round as well? That is just amazing. I mentally fist pump the air and quickly type back a reply.
