The sun glowed peeking from the cloudy sky, having lost all effect of its immense heat as heavy rain gushed down mercilessly, washing the asphalted roads over and over again. Although it was just noon, the sky gave the sight of a gloomy evening.Every being had retired to their homes, no one to be seen. Every window and door locked except one. No matter how much the rain incessantly banged at the window, rain drops making cluttering and rattling high-pitched noises, a young man who sat beside it gaped at the scenario curiously, blinking not even once. A sign of a shattered heart evident on his features. It was dark inside. The lights weren't out but it was his inside that was. He eyed the book in his hand he had brought with him to the window pane to offer as a distraction.
Perhaps he was searching for solace... again.
Books have always provided that, when he had no one but himself. He believed what many legendary writers had to say, "A book is man's best friend".
But he didn't needed them when he was with him.
His lover, his sole guide, his confidante and his support. The number one enthusiast when it came to his songs.
His hyung, his everything.
These past two years had been the best for him. That still was an understatement if he were to describe the ultimate contentment he feels with him. For these two years, he didn't needed to read a book to console.
Not until today.
And when right now, his mind demanded to fortify and hearten himself, he just couldn't bare to look down at the book, much less flip the cover page. Every now and then, he kept glancing at the window, at the tenebrous sight outside. The view...
Perfect reflection of his heart...
At last he couldn't hold it in; tears spoiling his red cheeks, sniffs escaping his crimson nose as he gulped the bitter bile in his throat he had held in till now.
When have he become so weak?
He knew the little fight with his boyfriend yesterday morning had costed him a lot, but he has yet to discover how much. Wiping his tears away, he tried to stop the past noises of their argument.
But they just won't!
"You have to understand this! I can't be always here for you.. my line of work doesn't let me! Why didn't you eat anything!? You need to learn to care for yourself, alone!!"
The words of his lover had hit him hard, destroyed and cracked open a part that surpassed the pain the fall from the stairs has given him as a teen. As if he had not been alone after his parents died.. but he doesn't wanna recall that grievous part. He had enough of them..
"Jagiya, I need you.. please.." he pled. "When you are not around.. I.. I.. hear these voi- I'm scared, hyung! You-you leave ju-just like that..", he had sobbed his heart out, only if he could make his love realise how much he needed him, wanting to keep him near every single minute. He just won't get enough of him.
"Are you hearing yourself right now?! You sound crazy Taehyung!!-"
Taehyung. Just Taehyung.
Not 'Taehyungie', 'Taehyung-ah' or all those pet names he sweetly called him.
His eyes filled again, having another glance at the rain which now seemed to be slowly ebbing away.
