Unexplained feelings. That was what Taehyung had been dealing with for the last six hours. And a handful more minutes. The peculiar maze in the book opened in front of him as he drew, god knows how many strokes with his pencil, doodling around the maze to find a way out. His conscience telling him that solving it is more of a priority than anything else he needed to do. Not that he had anything to do anyways. It became more and more puzzling as moments passed by, although not in a negative way. Throughout this whole time he had came to many queer conclusions.
It seemed that the image of the prince was somewhat helping him find the path.. if that's how it's described, if you can describe such an uncanny thing like that. The more he took chances to glance at the prince, often getting lost in his own spontaneous thoughts, the more he felt the fog of this illusory maze clear away. It did took him hours but in a span of a few more seconds, he traced a line out of the end gate of the bushy maze, which until a few minutes ago, didn't even seemed to have an end at all! It had messed up with Taehyung's brain to a point that he was made to question the health of his own vision, as images in this book are either a mystery or a death pull! And worse, the prince was both at the same time!
Before Taehyung could actually rejoice his triumph and move on to the last page, a brilliant light blurred his eyesight. He struggled to find his hands to cover his face as shutting his eyelids wasn't enough, absolutely struck with the sudden illumination in broad daylight. He could have sworn that his eyes were this close to loosing its ability, as the immense light was a thousand times more than what the sun provided through the curtained windows. It radiated and reflected all possible surfaces in that room's space and concentrated at one spot.
The book.
Now that was something to be anxious about. Greatly.
It took a fraction more of a minute for everything to be retained back to normal. And Taehyung was able to open his eyes, to see that not everything was normal......
As before him, stood the same exact figure that had been what was supposed to be only a mere image made out of paper.. of a prince, before this sudden strange occurrence.
I'm very very very sure that I haven't spend studying science to forget that paper can not turn into a human just like that...!
Taehyung choked on a gasp, quickly backing away from the bed and stood on his feet. Yes, those limbs that he wanted to melt right there.
He gaped without batting his eyes, and to say that he didn't knew what to think about would be the understatement of his whole life. His mind was actually numb! He couldn't move, couldn't rub his eyes or pinch himself to check if he was hallucinating or dreaming, couldn't form words, couldn't even bear to look away, as the charismatic visual in front of him deprives him of every little power and leaves him vulnerable and immobile, yet a thread of untamed hope and glee lacing from it.He saw the male checking and eyeing his hands as if contemplating himself if he actually exists, the hands thereafter leant out to stroke his royal emblem on his blue blazer and knightly overcoat. He scanned his surroundings until his almond eyes rested on Taehyung's sharp ones.. the only being his sight caught there.
Both their eyes widened.
For Taehyung, it felt like the whole world had crashed upon him and yet he was on his knees begging to be broken down into a million pieces by only and only those orbs of him.
If this was reality, then my dreams were nothing different.
"Good heavens... did you.. free me?", the sweet melody sounded more like a eve song by a thrush rather than a voice speaking to Taehyung.
