chapter 26

"mommy's gonna go out now okay angels ?  Be good to halmonie and haraboji.  Play nice with your cousins and be obedient , do you understand what mommy's saying?"

Hyejin told Naeun and yi joon as she put powder on their backs. 

"Yes mommy " they both said

"But mommy can't we really go with you?" Naeun pouted

"Mommy's gonna be on a business meeting it'll be boring for you and yijoonie . Just stay with your grandparents and your cousins ." She said softly .

But the kids are still pouting

"Okay , how about mommy will be buying my angels a gift after my meeting . Will that cheer my babies up?"

And just like magic the two cheered up making her chuckle .

"Mommy's going now . Be good to haraboji and halmonie " she kissed naeun and junnie's lips

"Bye mom , come back fast okay?"  Naeun said as she hug her mom tightly at her neck because she's being carried by hyejin .

"Of course my princess " hyejin kissed her in her temples before passing Naeun to  her dad .

Hyejin's heart is pounding fast as she get out of the car " here's some money samcheon , you can just stroll around and eat some good food.  You don't have to wait for me here , I'll just call you when I'm done" she told her dad's driver .

"Thank you hyejin agassi (miss hyejin )"

She bowed cortiously at the middle aged man and walked towards the entrance of the restaurant

"Annyeonghasaeyo agassi , welcome to 맛있어 do you have a reservation? If not how many tables do you need " The receptionist welcomed her  kindly

"Oh I have a reservation under kim namjoon's name , is he already here?" She asked

"Oh mr. kim, yes he's already inside , please follow the butler , agassi " the receptionist gestured the man standing infront of them waiting for instructions

"Please bring agassi to the VVIP room " the receptionist said to the butler and he immediately assisted her towards the said room. 

Her heart is pounding heavily , after five years she's gonna see namjoon . She's gonna see the father of her children .

As the butler open the double door  she saw a man sitting across the room watching through the glass window over looking the city

She bowed to the butler and said her thanks.  The butler closed the door and she sighed straighting her white  vintage style dress . That she partnered with her classy white pumps and white hermes handbag finishing it off with a white cat eye sunglasses and pearl necklace and earrings

She dressed as simple and elegant as she can

She cleared her throat to get namjoon's attention

And he looked back at her . She bowed a little and he did too, he motioned his hands towards the chair and she walked carefully towards it .

There's a fine wall of silence between the two of them .

"So , why did you call me ?" He broke off the silence

"Uhm , I just want to see how you're doing " she told him unable to just break off the new that he have a child with her all these years .

She heard him scoff a little before he sip in his whisky

Whisky? In the middle of the day ? Hyejin though to herself but restrain from saying it out loud .

"Do you really call me for that ? I'm a busy person ms. Ahn , and my time shouldn't be wasted like this " he looked at her with a cold eyes .

She felt a tinge of pain in her heart

He never looked so cold at her before .

She was about to answer but his phone ringed. 

He looked at her briefly before answering his phone

She heard a little voice " daddy!"

She saw namjoon smiled for the first time since they saw each other again .

"Princess"

"Can you come home now ?"

" Wait for daddy I'll be home in a minute " he said .

She observed how he talked with the kid on the phone which she assume that it's jisoo's daughter who he adopted .

A little bit of pain struck her heart again.  It should be naeun and yi joon getting all his love and attention

He ends the call , and stands up . Making her stand up too.

"I'm going my daughter needs me " he said and walking away

"But--" she wasn't even able the make a conversation with him and he already left .

She called the waiter and asked for the bill but the waiter said that they're already paid .

Namjoon already paid for it .

She sighed defeated. She didn't have a chance to tell him about the kids .

"Maybe this is not the right time.  Maybe I'll get a chance to tell him next time. "

She's already walking outside the restaurant when she bumped to some random man. 

She bowed and said sorry " chusuamnida (sorry[formal way]) "

"It's okay , I'm sorry too" the man smiled and walked away

She shrugged her shoulders and proceed walking she already called her driver so she's only waiting in the parking space .

Once the car arrived she hopped in and to her surprise it's her brother Dabin .

"Oh oppa , why are you the one driving?"

"Dad asked me to drive you to the office . He want you to handle the company back in your hands now that you're here. "

"Wait what? Where's the kids then ?"

"They're with noona and eomma.  They're also with my wife and our kids "

She nodded . She always knew that she have a responsibility on handling the company because she's the legal heir to it . So she can't run away with that . The only thing her step siblings do is help her and own a percentage in the company's stock .

She breathed deeply after seeing the familiar tall and huge building infront of them.  It changed a little , but still looked familiar to her.  It's been five years since she last stepped into this building .

She was lead to her old office . And she quietly followed her brother .

Once he opened her old office to her surprise JooE is there she definitely looked more matured now . And she's pregnant!!

"Unnie !" JooE called her and hugged her tightly

She hugged her back too .

"I missed you ms. Hyejin " JooE teared up and she chuckled

"I see , who's the lucky guy?" She asked jooE and she shyly smiled

"My longtime boyfriend unnie you already know him "

"Oh Seungkwan ?"

"Yes unnie " JooE smiled

Someone knocked at the door

"Come in " Dabin said and a man showed up

To her surprise the man is familiar so when he walked up close she remembered him . He's the man that she bumped into earlier
