24. The Truth

Haden returns to the practice room where he sees Jessica speaking to the members with a bright happy face. He loved the way she smiled and he did not want to ruin her day. He was curious whether Camila is telling the truth. Jessica is now watching the boys practicing their new dance for their upcoming tour and it looked like Jessica was enjoying it. She mimicked their moves, following along like she wanted to dance with them.

Haden ignored Camila's words and walked beside Jessica. "Hey, I was wondering after this, let's go out on a date. There's a carnival going on at Terrence avenue," Haden says. "Sure, I was really getting along with them," Jessica said excitedly over the loud music. After their dance practice came to an end, Jessica bid her goodbyes and hoping to meet them once again.

Jace led Haden and Jessica to the main lobby. "I'm glad you came Jessica, I just want to say, welcome aboard," Jace said, lending his hand out. "Oh my god, are you serious? Thank you," she says, shaking his hand.

Haden was proud of Jessica, he was very happy Jessica had made it this far. "I'll go get the car ready, just wait for me outside," Haden instructs and walks to the elevator which led to the parking lot downstairs. "Have you told Haden about Ana?" Jace worriedly asks. "I haven't, I don't know when, but I'm afraid this will affect our relationship if I tell him," Jessica said, her lips turned in a sad frown.

"Relationship?" He confusingly asks. "You mean, you two are dating?!" He shockingly asked. "We just started dating and I'm scared to tell him, I don't know how he'll react." She bites her lip in frustration. "It's better for you to tell him now before he finds out and I hope he doesn't find out," Jace said, placing his hand on her shoulder, reassuring her everything will be okay, but what Jessica will not know is that Camila had hired a private investigator to find out the truth about Jessica after she saw Jessica walking out of the club.

He managed to request Jessica after Haden had left and told everything that Haden had been seeing Ana for quite some time after Ana had admitted Haden was her top client. What Haden hadn't noticed was Ana's birthmark on her shoulder. Haden was able to see Jessica's birthmark, but when she's Ana, it's mostly covered by her outfits.

"Well, your prince is waiting outside," Jace said, opening the door for her. She thanked him and as she was going to reach the car door, Jace rushes by her side, opening the door for her. "You didn't have to, you're my boss now," Jessica says. "A princess should be treated with respect," Jace said and she thanked him.

"Better watch out!" Haden shouts, playfully glaring at him. "I know, I know, she's yours. I will make sure I will do anything for her if there's a problem," Jace said and watched Haden pull out and drove off. He wished Jessica the best and hoped nothing bad happens between them.

They drive to the highway and Haden speeds off. This gave an idea to Jessica in which she opens the car window, letting the strong air hit against her face. Jessica closes the window a little, fixing her messy hair. "You'll have more fun when we get there," he says. They pull over to an exit that was close by the carnival.

They pass by the large cartwheel and a few rides and people buying their kids cotton candy and lunch. Jessica could feel her inner child showing, she was very excited to go try on the rides. "I'm sorry if I do act like a child throughout our date," she suddenly apologizes. "What? Of course not, love, I don't mind you having fun. You've been busy with your career, I want to treat you," Haden said after he made sure he locked his car and quickly gave a hug to Jessica.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. I'm going on tour with the guys next year soon before I debut," she announces. "That's good, I want you to enjoy and don't worry about me, I actually have to go back to Switzerland to finish business school," Haden said, awkwardly scratching behind his neck. "Oh, that's good, we're both working on our careers. Don't worry, we will meet again, right?" Jessica asked. Haden smiles, bringing her hand close to his lips, kissing on top of her promise ring.
