Y/N gets into a fight at school. Penelope is amused. Josie is not.
"Josie! Y/N!," Penelope calls as she enters the house.
"In the living room," Josie replies.
Penelope enters the living room. She freezes when she finds Josie kneeling in front of their daughter. Y/N has a black eye and split lip, and is holding a bag of frozen peas to her head.
"Hi mom," Y/N greets.
"Y/N/N, baby, what the hell happened? Do I need to beat someone up?" Penelope asks worriedly, sitting beside Y/N on the couch.
"No. I handled myself just fine, mom," Y/N replies, smirking.
"Your daughter got into a fight, Penelope," Josie frowns, not at all pleased.
"May I ask why?" Penelope questions.
"This girl was calling y'all homophobic slurs, so I punched her," Y/N shrugs.
"That's my girl!" Penelope cheers, clapping Y/N on the shoulder.
"Penelope Saltzman-Park!" Josie scolds.
"What? She stood up for her moms!," Penelope frowns.
"By fighting. Violence is not the answer, Pen, and you, Y/N are grounded," Josie sighs.
"Right. My bad. Y/N, next time tell an adult. Yeah, do that," Penelope nods, trying not to smile.
Y/N nods, also trying not to smile. She's suspended for a week, anyways, so the grounding doesn't really affect her that much apart from not being able to see her friends. Josie continues patching her daughter up, kissing her forehead once she is finished.
"Go to your room, Y/N," Josie orders, glaring angrily at the teen.
Y/N takes off to her room, knowing her mama is not pleased with her at the moment. Once Y/N is gone, Josie turns her glare on Penelope.
"You can't encourage her fighting, Penelope! It's not okay, and she could seriously hurt someone if she lost control of her powers. The kids at her school are human," Josie scolds.
"I know, I know. I'm sorry, Jojo. I'm just proud at her for defending us," Penelope sighs.
"I am too, Penny. I should go talk to her. I may have flipped out a bit on her when she came home looking like that," Josie states, kissing Penelope's head.
"Go do that. I'll start dinner," Penelope nods.
Josie goes to Y/N's room, and knocks on the door. After Y/N tells her she can come in, Josie enters and sits beside Y/N on the bed. Josie sighs, taking in Y/N's black eye and split lip.
"I'm sorry I yelled at you, baby," Josie apologizes, taking Y/N's hands in hers and squeezing.
"I know, mama. I'm sorry I got into a fight. I know how you feel about violence. I just got so angry at the girl," Y/N replies.
"I know, princess, I know. You understand that it's dangerous for you to fight humans, right? If you were to loose control of your powers, they could get really hurt, and you risk exposing yourself," Josie explains.
"I understand. It won't happen again," Y/N promises.
"Good. I love you, darling," Josie smiles.
"I love you too, mama. Now, what's for dinner?"
Josie chuckles at that, and wraps Y/N into her arms. She places a kiss on her daughter's head. Y/N knows that even when she messed up, her moms will always love her, no matter what, and for that, she is eternally greatfull full.
