TW: Drowning, large amounts of water, aggressive currents

Dream stopped and closed the door as he was thinking. "We still have almost two weeks, I'm sure he'll send a response soon, right?", he asked after standing there in silence for a short while and Sap nodded in response. "Probably, at least i hope so", he said and sat down on the kitchen counter.
"So, why were you down there so long?", he asked and smirked, making Dream blush. "Well he had to use the toilet you know", Dream said making Sap nod and stare at him almost unhappily for a second. "Alright then, ay wanna watch a movie?", he quickly changed topic, went over to the sofa and threw himself on top of it, making Dream shake his head with a grin on his face. "Sure thing, ill make us some popcorn", he said and soon after the two were sat on the couch together, rewatching Star Wars for the what must've been the 70th time. They had loved the movies since they were children and rewatched them every couple months.

After the credits rolled onto the screen Dream looked up at the clock, which was hung above the TV, and quickly got up. "Ill quickly bring George some food", he said and went to the kitchen, where he prepared a sandwich and a bottle of water. "Alright have fun", Sap said and focused on the phone on his hand, which he had pulled out of his pockets moments prior.

Dream opened the door to the basement with his key and slowly made his way downstairs, where he silently put the plate in front of George. George was not tied up to the chair anymore but his hands were still tied together on his back, because Dream was afraid he'd figure out how to open the door.
The room was silent and cold and only occasional deep breaths were taken by George, indicating that he was fast asleep.
Said boy was leaning against a wall and had his eyes shut, which occasionally twitched in the pale light coming from upstairs. Dream stopped in his tracks and stared down at the smaller boy and smiled. His thoughts were quickly filled with the thought about how cute George looked when he was asleep and Dream longed to put his arms around him, to hold him while he was basking in his warmth.
He shook himself as soon as he realised what he was thinking about. This was George, the guy he kidnapped. He shouldn't think about him like this.

"George", he said lowly and the smaller boy stirred slowly. He opened his eyes tiredly and stared at Dream, unable to recognise him at first due to him still being half asleep.
"Hm? Whats up?", he asked with a sleepy voice, making Dream swallow hard. He felt his heart flutter against his chest at the sight of the sleepy boy and the way his voice sounded right when he woke up. He quickly shoved the food into his direction, sitting down next to him. "I- i brought you food", he whispered and blushed as George sat up and got closer, trying to stay awake.
Why was he blushing like this? George wasn't even doing anything and here Dream was, drooling over the way he looked and sounded. He was straight right? And even if he wasn't, his kidnapping victim? Seriously? He kidnapped him, there wasn't even a chance of this to work out. This couldn't happen.

"Can you free my arms so i can eat?", Georges still sleepy voice interrupted his thoughts and he immediately did as he was told, making George able to eat the sandwich.
Dream stayed by his side the whole time so he could take the plate with him afterwards, also he just wanted to be near him for reasons unknown to him. As George finished and got his hands tied again, he sat back against the wall and stared at Dream for a while, obviously thinking about something. "Whats your eye colour?", he finally burst out and looked at Dreams mask curiously, which hid his entire face, throwing Dream off, who had just picked up the plate. He turned to George and smiled a bit confused. "green"

When George woke up the next morning he felt himself longing for Dream to come back and spend time with him. This surely was because he just felt lonely in that cold basement, right? He was still sitting on the cold floor, his back pressed against the hard wall, and hummed one of his favourite songs: "This side of Paradise", which one of his classmates had shown him a while back. He felt himself starting to shiver and sunk into himself, trying to warm himself up. He was only wearing a thin sweater and a pair of black shorts, which did not give him the warmth he desperately needed. He whined a bit and buried his face in his knees. How long had he been here? Days? Weeks? He had lost all his perception of time, being stuck in the darkness of this basement. He didn't even know what time it was, all he knew what that he wanted to leave. He decided the best thing to do down here was to fall asleep again and so that's what he did.
