"We're here!!!!!" both Charlie and Everett shouted as loud as they could. This brought me and Daisy out of the sudden trance and I smiled at Charlie through the car mirror before I opened the door to get out.

We walked up to the burger joint that Charlie recommended and everyone was walking at a different. Charlie and I were practically bouncing while we walked towards the entrance, Everett skipped joyfully, and Daisy was bent over laughing at how dumb he looked, so she was way behind.

"So Mr. Gillespie, what do you usually get at this secret burger place of yours?" I asked him.

"I usually get something new. Something that a fan in a gift book suggested. To try something new every day. I do that every time I come here so I can have a different experience every time." he replied. What he didn't know about that anonymous gift book was that that idea was my idea specifically. I smiled at the thought of him liking my idea, but cringed immediately after that it was me he called a fan. But I guess it's not a bad thing to be a fan.

"That's a great concept!" I said. "The fan who sent that must be smart. What was their name?"

"Sadly, she did it anonymously. But she seems very wise."

We all walked into the restaurant and I could tell that the hostess was making eyes at Charlie. I looked up at him and he had no reaction. Even though there was nothing there between us, I couldn't help but to feel a bit jealous.

"So which table do you guys want?" she asked, not taking her line of sight away from him. I decided to take a little bit of charge.

"I think we'd like that one over by the window!" I exclaimed with a fake smile. She turned and scowled at me. It only happened for a half a second, and she plastered a smile on.

"Right this way please!" She said as she led the way. We all followed, and sat down. We ate our meals, and the food was absolutely fantastic. Charlie made a really great call. We all laughed and joked and generally enjoyed each others company. I had a fun time, even though I could feel that girl burning daggers into the back of my neck with her eyes. Later on, she came to check on us.

"Is everything alright here?" she asked.

"Everything is great!" I said. "Can I get an ice water please?"

"Of course. I'll be right back." She said through her teeth as she left. Once she got back, she was carrying a full to the brim glass of water. She "tripped" and spilled every last drop of it all over me. I jumped up in surprise and yelped. The water was freezing cold and I was NOT in the mood for her bullshit anymore, but I decided to stay calm, since I didn't wanna slap this bitch as hard as I possibly could in front of Charlie. Instead I scooted my chair back and simply grabbed a napkin to wipe myself off while she apologized profusely with a little smirk on her face.

"Oh I'm so so sorry!! Let me clean it up!" she said. Oh how I so much wanted to wipe that grin right off of her little cheek with my fist. It wasn't until I calmed down that I realized I was shivering. A lot.

"Iris! You look like you're freezing!" Charlie said. "Here, take my jacket." he said as he draped his green and pink bomber jacket over me. By now the girl was fuming. She looked like steam was about to go right out of her ears. Her little plan had backfired. I asked her if she could bring the check and she did. We walked out of that place with Daisy and Everett laughing at each other's jokes, my head on Charlie's shoulder, and his arm loosely rested around me.

We made it back to our penthouse, and Everett and Daisy were playin poker while me and Charlie sat on the rug in the living room. I looked down and nervously played with my rings. I looked back up, and his eyes were rested on me. They met mine, and I lost my breath at the sight of the glimmer in the oceanic grey green swirl right in front of me. Just for a second, he stared into mine the same way.
