I leaned in, my face in his hands. He pulled me closer to him, and then immediately stopped. He took a pause and removed his hands from my cheeks. Holy shit Charlie and I were about to kiss! What was I possibly thinking?!

"I'm really sorry" he said. "It's just a little too fast. I just met you, and you won't be staying for long, and it's just not a good idea."

"Charlie... I-"

"No. I'm sorry, can we just maybe forget about it?" he interrupted. "I still wanna keep this relationship that we already have, and I kinda wanna help it grow."

"Of course, Charlie. So what do you wanna do?"

"Hmmmmm watch a movie?"

"Sure! What do you suggest we watch?"

"Anything you want."

"Well another one of my favorites of all time is Dirty Dancing."

"Never seen it."

"What?!" I yelled.

"What??"

"You've never ever in a million years seen one of my FAVORITE movies of ALL TIME?!"

"No, I genuinely haven't!"

"Charlie you worked on a god damn Kenny Ortega project and you never saw Dirty Dancing, which he choreographed?"

"I guess I never got the chan-"

"Shhhhh" I said as I silenced him with my finger. "You are watching this movie with me no matter what. And just to warn you, I might cry."

"Ok, and I'll just make fun of you!" He said and stuck his tongue out.

"Come on, dork!" I exclaimed as I grabbed his hand and led him to my bedroom. I plopped on the bed and grabbed the remote, going straight to the movie. He sat next to me, and we both got comfy.

"Prepare to be AMAZED by this MASTERPIECE" I said with an ambitious scrunched up face and I pressed play. The movie started, and just like that, it was over. The song and dance and movie had ended. I'd been so invested in the movie that I hadn't gotten the chance to look at Charlie the whole time. I glanced over at him and tears were streaming down his face. He was sobbing like a little baby, and I laughed.

"You okay there tough guy?" I giggled.

"It's just that they were soulmates and they loved each other and her father accepted her for who she became and it's just so beautifullllll!!!!" He cried out.

"Awwww poor babyyyy" I teased as I pulled him in my arms and started rubbing his back. I looked down at him and said, "Are you okay?" while brushing his soft brown hair out of his eyes. He looked up at me with tears swimming in his greenish blue sparkling eyes and nodded childishly.

"So, did you like the movie Charlie?"

"I did, thank you for making me watch this movie, it was very entertaining." he said, trying to sound grown up and failing miserably. We laid there like that for a while and talked about dreams and people we know. Cracking each other up for hours. I don't know how or when, but we ended up falling asleep cuddled up like that.

The next morning, I woke up with my face in his chest. I couldn't help but to feel safe and loved in his arms. I snuggled and buried my face into his chest, squeezing him slightly tighter. After savoring the moment, I tried to get up and get dressed for the day, but as soon as I wiggled my way out of his arms, he weakly and subconsciously moved his arms back across my bed and pulled me back into the embrace like I was a teddy bear. I rolled over and looked at his peaceful expression with a tiny grin on his lips. I reached out my hand to brush against his cheek, admiring the view. He slowly opened his eyes and stared back at me, his smile widening slightly.
