If you do not know who Dante is well he is the son of Sparda. a legendary demon who fought for humanity and sealed back the demon army. later he fell in love with a human and produce a twin (the wife not him) however when Sparda died demons attack Dante's home and traumatized him by killing his mother.
that most of what you should know this takes place after Dmc 5 where Dante is in hell with Vergil nothing different from how everyone perceives him but I'm gonna try and make him a father figure for our character.
