“It’s going to be weird,” Harry whispered tiredly, wrapped in the mound of blankets on Louis’ bed. Louis moaned from next to him, rolling over on his pillow and sighing, tiredly reaching out to pet Harry’s curls.

“Morning to you too,” he muttered, sliding out of the covers and padding over to his dresser, pulling out a pair of boxers and tugging them on, as Harry remained curled up in bed. “Come on Hazza, up you get, it’s already eleven. We have lunch with your Mum in an hour.”

Harry groaned into his pillows kicking his feet tiredly in the bed in protest. Louis sighed, reaching for a shirt, and tossing a pair of boxers at Harry’s head, still buried in the pillows. Harry moaned but finally lifted his head, slowly crawling out from under the covers and sliding the boxers on, eyes blurry with sleep.

Louis laughed and pecked Harry on the lips, zipping up his shorts and running a hand through his hair as he hurriedly readied himself for lunch.

Lunch with Anne every Saturday had become a normal occurrence, ever since early June, when Harry had sat his poor Mother down and revealed another dark secret.

That he, and his Psychology teacher, were fuck buddies.

Well, more than that. But that was how Harry had worded it, hopeful the humor would take the edge off the realization that her son was screwing his teacher.

The first couple of lunches had been awkward, at best, Louis stuttering and tripping over his words as he tried to justify his actions and secure his relationship with Harry. Now, in late August, things were a bit less awkward, and much more friendly, as the long Summer Days together healed open wounds and brought meaning to the mess that was their relationship.

“It’s going to be weird,” Harry repeated, lacing up his shoes, and Louis shook his head.

“Harry, love, just focus on getting to lunch on time, yeah?”

Harry snorted and followed Louis into the living room, where Zayn and a random blonde sat, eating a late breakfast together. Louis grinned and held up a thumbs up, over the blonde’s shoulder, and Zayn rolled his eyes, flicking a piece of bacon at Louis, who ducked, the piece landing in Harry’s mess of curls. Harry shook his head and tossed the piece back at Zayn, before following Louis out of the flat and down to his car.

Once settled in the familiar passenger seat, Harry turned to Louis again, “But just tell me you think it’s going to be weird-“

“Are we going to Liam’s tonight?” Louis interrupted, gripping the steering wheel tighter, before Harry could ask the same unanswered question, “He told me he went a little too crazy with becoming legal, bought more alcohol that than he can drink on his own. Said we should stop by, one last party before school starts Monday, what do you say?”

Harry nodded, staring distantly out of the window, biting his lips thoughtfully, “Louis,” he said quietly, watching the familiar houses of their small town fly by, “It’s going to be weird, right?”

“Harry,” Louis sighed, turning to glance at Harry who looked back nervously, chewing on his thumbnail. “Let’s just get through the day, before we start worrying. Yeah?”
