Chapter 13

I sat at my piano in my studio, playing the soft melody from that song at the beach over and over again. A soft knock at the door broke me out of my trance.

"Come in." I called out. The door opened and Justin, Sasha, and Austin walked in, slightly admiring the room.

"Hey, we got you text." Sasha told me. "You okay?"

I sigh and walk over to the small couch that was in the room. "I don't know." Austin sits next to me. "Wanna talk about it?"

I slowly nod. "So, I took your advice, Austin, and went for the forbidden fruit. And he says he loves me back."

"That's great." Justin cheers.

"I thought I was too, till he told me he had to leave." I start to tear up. "I mean, I pour my heart out to him and then he drops this huge bomb on me. Something he could have told me weeks ago."

"Well, cant you guys do long distance?" Sasha asks.

I sniff. "It wont work. It's hopeless." I rest my head on Austin's shoulder, closing my eyes as more tears fall down.

A second later, I hear strumming of my acoustic guitar.

(Bold - Mya, Bold, Italics - Sasha, Italics - Justin, Italics, Underline - Austin, Bold, Underline - All but Mya, Bold, Italics, Underline - All)

I look up and see Sasha with my guitar and Austin at the drums. "Music does always make you feel better." Austin whispers, letting me go and picking up the base.

"I can't pretend to know how you feel
But know that I'm here,
Know that I'm real" Sasha gives me a small smile.

"Say what you want
Or don't talk at all"

"Not gonna let you fall

Austin walks over and pulls my up from the couch, wiping the tears from my eyes.
"We'll always be more than a band"

Justin comes in with the drums and Austin starting up with the base.

"You used to brave the world all on your own
Now we wont let you go
Go it alone"

Austin smiles. "Be who you wanna be
Always stand tall"

"Not gonna let you fall" The 3 of them sing together, making me smile wide.

"Reach for my hand cause it's held out for you
My shoulders are strong,
But you can cry on them, too
Everything changes but one thing is true
Understand"

"We'll always be more than a band"

I finally took a chance to sing, feeling better and smiling wide at the 3 of them.
"I never knew you could take me so far
I always wanted to hope that
You are the ones
I need"

We all smiled at eachother, feeling connected.
